This shop is truly a "shop" to me. I try to combine a variety tastes and time periods for a true vintage shopping experience. I am always available for questions and comments from customers and sellers alike. Customer service is of the utmost importance to me. If there is anything that I can do to improve or assist in your shopping "quest", please let me know.
I accept Paypal and Credit Card payments via Paypal.
Please keep in mind that a Paypal account is not required for Credit Card checkout - Paypal only handles the processing. Once you're ready to checkout, click on "Checkout with Paypal". This will transfer you to the Paypal Page. To checkout without using Paypal, click on "Don't Have a Paypal Account" or "Continue as Paypal Guest". This will allow you to checkout only using your credit card information - If you have any questions, please let me know:)
If you experience any problems or have questions during the payment process, please contact me immediately via convo or email at whimsical.vintage [!at] gmail.com. Payment must be received within 48 hours from time of purchase. Transactions not paid within the 48 hour period will be "cancelled" and the item will be relisted into my shop.
Items will be shipped once payment is complete.
Layaway plans are done on a case by case basis - to meet my customers individual needs.
1) Items must exceed $30.00
2) Item is purchased for full amount via "other" payment option and then invoiced via Paypal at agreed upon intervals
3) Please remember that this removes the item from my shop and makes it unavailable to anyone else for purchase
4) Item is shipped upon completion of payments
5) Layaway payments are non refundable, however please remember that all of my items are completely guaranteed, so if you're not happy with your item, for any
reason, a complete refund (less shipping) will be issued upon return of the item back to me. I do ask that you attach delivery confirmation to any returned items.
6) Communication is key to any transaction, please keep me informed of any issues that may arise effecting the agreement and I will do my best to work with you.
Items will ship within 24-48 hours from time of purchase and/or receipt of payment, with a shipping time of 4-8 business days within the United States and 8-21 business days on International shipments. *Due to new customs regulations, International shipping times may be slightly longer than previously quoted - please feel free to contact me with any questions* All shipping will be through the U.S.P.S., parcel post or priority, depending on the weight of the item. I do recommend that you purchase insurance on your item as I am not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Calculating combined shipping costs needs to be done on a case by case basis, if you are interested in multiple items or items from both of my shops, please convo me ( again, prior to purchase) and I will do my best to keep your shipping cost at a minimum. Please remember that shipping costs reflect the actual cost plus shipping supplies.
Due to changes in US postal policies heavier International shipments (over 4 pounds) need to be sent Priority Mail, making them more expensive to ship. If you are interested in one of these items, please convo me with your location for a price quote....the upside is that there is now tracking and insurance built in with the shipping price:)
Refunds and Exchanges
Small flaws are not always visible when photographed. As these are gently used items, any and all flaws will be disclosed to the customer in the item description. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. If you are unhappy with your item, for any reason, other than stated above, I offer a complete refund of your purchase price, not to include shipping. This policy is only valid if contact has been made within 1 week of receiving the item.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Please remember that the vintage dates of these items are based on stamping, signing or labeling, when possible. Methods used to quote dates of unsigned, labeled or stamped pieces are a combination of style, quotes from original owners and research. The items that I acquire are in excellent condition, unless otherwise noted (or in my Imperfect Beauties Section). Occasionally I will pick an item based on it's unique qualities that I feel outweigh any disclosed flaws. Maintaining the integrity of vintage and antique items is very important to me. I price my items based on their collectible value, i.e. signed pieces are more valuable than unsigned, as well as the unique or hard to find qualities that they may possess. Pricing items in this manner will maintain their value for years to come. My research for dating and pricing vintage/antiques items is extensive - if you have any questions regarding the pricing or dating of a particular piece, please let me know...I will happily provide all research information.
