This ornament was used for a gift for a bee themed baby shower. It's a beautiful keepsake!

About

Books, cards and other curios inspired by natural history...

I'm an avid collector and when I'm not creating arrangements out of flowers at my day job, I spend my time arranging insect collections at the Field Museum of Natural History. These two occupations fuel much of what I make, and I find myself entranced not only by the natural world but the aesthetics of the museum and the researcher.

This constant organizing and arranging of objects makes letterpress and setting type a very natural extension of my ideas, along with the watercolor and collage techniques that I also employ. It's my intent to create beautiful and delicate objects that are nostalgic even while they engage in the patience and sensibility of a researcher.
