I use 5" 1.75mm carbon fiber dpns for socks. If I ever give up knitting, I can use them to hunt small animals. Reaching into the sock project bag was a bit dangerous. These cozies are like hooding your hunting hawk in falconry. All of a sudden, the needles are disarmed, the ferocious points are covered, and you don't risk your tender flesh reaching into the bag. Amazing. And the sheepies and yarn balls make me smile.

The online picture doesn't show how "bubblegum" pink some of the horsies are, but I can live with that. This bag is the perfect size for a sock project bag. If you do Fish Lips Kiss Heel, and carry around a foot template - well, my Women's US Size 9 D width template fits just fine at the bottom of the bag, or on the side. I have my template, two balls of Paton's Kroy, two socks (in progress) on two sets of 5" 1.75mm dpns in two dpn cozies, and my knitting belt in the bag, and there is still some room left. It would easily fit a ball of Opal if you use that. This is NOT a sweater or shawl bag, but great for small projects like socks. What I really like is the wrist strap. A "hands free" bag!! I may end up adding a couple of yarn guides to the bag.

Whimzee Stitches Designs strives to create exceptional, colorful and quality accessories for knitters, crocheters and fiber artists.

Welcome to WhimzeeStitches! In my shop, you’ll find a selection of handmade knitting and craft project bags and other accessories.

My name is Rick, and I’ve loved sewing and fabric ever since I was a little kid. My mother and grandmother (or ‘Babci’, as we say in Polish) would take me to the fabric store and let me wander up and down the aisles. I was mesmerized by how many different colors, patterns, and types of fabrics were available, and I was fascinated by the process of cutting and measuring it. I learned to sew on my mother’s electric Singer and on an old treadle machine. My love of knitting is relatively new — I only picked up my first set of knitting needles in 2011, but I was immediately hooked! I began making knitting project bags for my own use, but soon all my crafting friends were commenting on them and asking for their own. I saw a way to combine my love of sewing and knitting, and WhimzeeStitches was born.

My biggest inspirations are colors, patterns, and shapes! I love selecting the fabrics that I’ll use to make my products, and that excitement fuels my business. My involvement with the knitting community also motivates me to create and perfect my products. Being part of a network of like-minded people and contributing to their own projects in some way is incredibly fulfilling. The thing I love about art is that it inspires more art — the thrill and satisfaction from completing one project automatically plants the seed for the next project.

When I’m not crafting and running my shop, I love travel and exploring all different types of art, crafts, fabric and of course, yarn. I grew up in New York and currently reside in New Orleans with my two cats.

Thank you so much for visiting my shop! I hope my products bring a smile to your face and color to your craft room!
