Whitehaus Living: Meet Your Moss Artist

My name is Celia and I have always been in love with nature. Every part of it, from creepy crawly things to our solar system, I am in awe and intrigued by it all. I am the daughter of an artist -- an oil painter. Painting, drawing and all forms of art have been in my family for over 70 years. I started working with moss not too long ago after being inspired by a small art piece in my son's school. It was made with tree bark and very little moss. I decided to try my hand at it, with a twist in design choices and I have been hooked since.

Seeing something go from nothing to something is my passion and designing moss art pieces brings me so much joy. Seeing the faces of clients that see their piece adds happiness to my heart. Each piece is created meticulously with materials handpicked from nature.

Other things about me:
I am a wife and mother of 4 awesome kiddos. I love God, cooking, flea market shopping, and watching action movies.

Frequently asked questions
Can I place this in direct sun?

No. Keep out of direct sunlight as moss will fade. Bright lit areas, added accent lighting, and dark spaces are best for preserved moss art pieces.

Do I have to water this in any way?

No need to add water or spray with water. All mosses in the art are preserved and will thrive with no maintenance. Adding water will ruin the moss.

Can I add this to a bathroom?

Preserved moss maintains its beauty in 30% humidity minimum. If placing in a bathroom with a shower, leave the door open after showering so the air quality is mixed and not at 100% for a long duration of time.

A stone fell off! Now what?

In transit (shipping) to your residence or business anything can happen. All stones and pieces in the artwork are securely glued down using high temperature hot glue. However, if dropped in transit by a carrier, a stone may be come loose to the impact. I recommend using LocTite glue as a quick cosmetic fix. Send me a picture of the fallen pieces and I will ship the glue to you at no cost.

I need a custom size and it’s not listed in your shop.

Send a message and I will accommodate almost any size needed.

I really love and want a large 22x55+ panel but I am nervous it will be damaged during shipping. Yikes!

Don’t worry! Leave the packaging to us. ALL moss art pieces (especially the large ones) are packaged tight to ensure no shifting while in the box. Nothing will move or get damaged. All shipments sent from WhiteHaus Living are insured up to the full purchase amount, which includes what you paid for shipping. Extra large panels will be shipped freight.

How do I clean my moss art?

Every six months or once a year, use a can of compressed air and spray about 12 inches from your art work to get dust off.
