Welcome to WhatKnot!

I have always been a creative person with a short attention span!

You name it, I have probably tried it. From knitting, quilting and cross-stitch to cake decorating, painting and doll making (to name just a few!) my hobbies have been wide and varied through my life. I’ve loved using my hands to create beautiful things for my friends and family to cherish.

In 2007 I had a car accident that left me with incomplete quadriplegia, meaning that the capacity of all 4 of my limbs is affected in some way. For a good few years afterwards, my focus was just getting around and achieving the basics of day to day living. Gardening and embroidery weren’t really on the agenda anymore while I focused on rehabilitation.

My life is different now and while my hands don’t work like they used to, my determination to create and share beautiful things is stronger than ever.
