Why Knot is some of my favorite yarn, and this does not disappoint. Beautiful colors, and a lovely feel to this yarn. Buy some, you will be glad you did!

About

A Spindle Made Me Do It.

The Story of Kat: I have a saying when it comes to trying something new in my life (with the exception seriously dangerous or injuring things). It goes like this: "Sure! Why not?" I have joked that it would sometimes be followed with the phrase "It seemed like a good idea at the time." Though, more often than not, I have been glad when I've stepped outside my comfort zone and done or learned something new.

Quite a few years ago, I picked up my mother's 30-year-old oak drop spindle that was made in Virginia in Amish Country. I loved that I was using the oldest spinning tool on earth to create yarn that could then be made into THINGS.

I expanded into dyeing very quickly, and that grabbed me by the throat. I LOVE color and how it plays. I love seeing what each type of yarn or fiber will do when I add this or that shade to it. I was hooked.

I was encouraged by friends, family, and even a few strangers to open an online shop instead of just hand-selling my products. So, after hemming and hawing, I listed a few things on Etsy, and then a few more, and now I'm looking at expanding again. This has been a fantastic platform to showcase and sell the yarn, fiber, and knit items I create.

When I've been asked more recently why I decided to start all this, I simply answer "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Claire's Story: Coming soon.
