whyte boots vintage
whyteboots' Shop Policies
Hello, and thanks for visiting my shop!
I sell vintage clothes from the 20th century with emphasis on the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
I accept Paypal. Payment is expected within 12 hours of checkout. If there will be a delay for one reason or another, please let me know. If I don't hear from you and payment has not been submitted within 24 hours of checkout, the order will be cancelled and the item relisted without further notice. I'm always open for reserving items for up to two days, as long as you stay in close contact and let me know approximately when payment will be submitted.
I will contact you via etsy conversations before cancelling the sale and relisting or un-reserving an item.
I am not responsible for customs. I often re-use packaging. If you wish to have your item shipped in new packaging against an added charge or in any particular way, please contact me.
Shipping rates are approximate and may turn out to be less at the post office. If that is the case, I always refund excess shipping. I never overcharge shipping.
If you suspect that your package has been lost in the mail, please contact me so that I am aware of the issue.
Please recycle packaging if possible!
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are considered final. If you discover a problem with something you've purchased, please contact me and we will find a solution. Every problem is slightly different, as are the solutions.
Please be aware that vintage items can often come with imperfections as they are all at least a couple decades old. I do my best to list any flaws in the item descriptions, and would be happy to take extra photos and measurements for you upon request.
Please remember that the longevity of vintage items can be unpredictable. After purchase and receival, you are responsible for upkeep. The materials are old and may need special care. I will, however, make sure to point out when items are in very poor condition. Unless noted, the items I sell are fit for wearing.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Most garments have not been washed prior to listing. It is your responsibility to take care of cleaning, and some things might need a bit of airing out. Unusually strong odours will be pointed out in the listing. You may need to be more careful with vintage clothing. Guides on cleaning specific vintage fabrics can be found online, as can general information about finding, dating, wearing and caring for vintage clothing, in case this is a new world to you.
Sizing info: All clothing items are measured flat. I recommend comparing measurements with garments of a similar cut and a similar fit to get an idea of how the item will fit on your body. If you need any extra measurements or are unsure about anything, feel free to ask!
Please note that vintage shoe sizing can be a bit tricky since there are more factors at stake here. Always compare with your own shoes, as sizing cannot be directly compared with modern shoes.
Bust: underarm seam to underarm seam, doubled
Sleeve: Cuff to shoulder seam
Length: Highest point of shoulder seam to hem
Price negotiations: Prices are fixed, but in some cases I am open for giving quantity discount in connection with large purchases. Contact me.
