Stunning replacement of my first identical beloved tentacle mug! Gorgeous detail, solid beautiful work. I'd buy this again and again and again... I just hope I don't have to go through the heartache of breaking another one! Thanks so much. x
Making Pots in Maine
"I am a potter of both functional and sculptural clay-work. The nature of my work varies from time to time, but it almost always involves a connection to the ocean. Inspired by blues, greens and cream colors of the shore, or my curiosity about creatures lurking just under the surface; my work is often overtaken by the mysterious creatures of the sea. Much of my work begins life as a small white mound of clay. Before I can finish most pieces, there comes a curious moment when little barnacles or tentacles move in and make themselves comfortable homes. I guess that's what I get for living so close to the ocean. I usually decide to let them stay, because really, what choice do I have?"
