Wildcatters set out into the wilderness to find oil in the early days of the petroleum industry. In Texas, their stories are full of myth, legend and typical Texan Tall Tales. The most famous fictional wildcatter, the hard-living, fast-spending, dirty-under-his-nails Jett Rink (played by James Dean in the movie adaptation of Edna Ferber's Giant) was modelled after real-life men who continue to fascinate new generations with their rough and tumble, rags-to-riches stories.

Wildcatters takes inspiration from the dirt, the grime, the diamonds and oil wells and Rolls Royces of the golden days of the Texas petroleum industry and the first half of the 20th century.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-----------------

We use brass and copper for many of our designs, and, as you may know, brass and copper tarnish when they come into contact with the oils on your skin. Tarnishing is inevitable, but don't let it ruin your fun! We recommend purchasing a jewelry polishing cloth, available at most shops that sell fine jewelry. As an added and quick-fix solution, we also recommend purchasing any brand of brass or copper cleaner, available at most hardware stores. And remember, a little goes a long way! Some people like the natural oxidation of brass and copper, so if you're one of those people then just let your item age gracefully! :D
