Wearable Art and Textile Explorations!

I started my small craft business, Wild Ginger Creations after moving to Portland, OR in 2011. I've always dreamed of being able to support myself by doing what I love. So, here I am launching myself with faith into the unknown. It's been a steady uphill journey and I get closer to reaching that dream every day.

Leatherwork and quilting keep me endlessly inspired and I hope to share that inspiration with all those who encounter my work.

The leatherwork began with my fascination with primitive and traditional skills. I learned some basics through a friend and a workshop at a skills gathering where I picked up some scrap leather to play with. I have been steadily learning through practice ever since. Being mostly-self taught my style is a bit unique. I tend to think I mix a traditional style with newer design concepts.

I learned how to do landscape quilts from an amazing quilter, Laura Fogg, in Northern California. I've always been interested in textiles and the concept of collage quilting blew my mind open! I put my own twist on what I learned from Laura and my style was born. Quilting is such a pleasure, as it allows me so much freedom and exploration.

Thanks for checking out my shop! I'm grateful to share my creative passion with you!
