Announcement   Hi I work in porcelain and currently use only one glaze on my pots. I expect to list only in stock pots, what you see is what you get. I will ship USPS in a few days after a sale. All pots are diamond polished on the bottoms so they will not scratch; my pots tend to be thin, light and well balanced. My pots are labor intensive so I have higher than average prices. Pots of the same size vary in price by the time required to do the different decorations. Although I make pots that are similar no two are exactly alike, I hope you like them.

About

I've been doing this a long time.

After deciding not to teach, I finished college and headed to New Hampshire, after a false start in Bradford I gained traction in Potter Place New Hampshire and stayed there for many years making pottery and improving my studio, Eight years ago I sold my old studio and had a new one built in Wilmot NH. All the equipment I need is here in one building.
I start by throwing a pot and then decorate it while it is still on the potter’s wheel. Some of the work is done with molds and some is done freehand. I have drawers full of stuff I can use to make marks; hardware, rubber stamps, lace and things I’ve made out of clay. When the clay is dry it is fired in a kiln part way, taken out and the animals painted with a darker glaze, dipped in glaze and fired in the kiln to a higher temperature.
