Wild Woods Wellness is dedicated to providing an avenue of profound natural healing that does not harm the physical body or Mother Earth. We do this by creating small batches of beautiful herbal products that utilize Wild Harvested and locally grown Bio-Dynamic herbs. These hand-made remedies have no harmful additives, chemicals, by-products, preservatives, etc and have a low impact on Mother Earth.

What is Wild Harvested?

Also known as Wild Crafting, this practice entails harvesting herbs from their natural wild environments. This includes the grasslands, foothills and mountains of Colorado. At Wild Woods Wellness we practice ethical and sustainable Wild Harvesting techniques. This means we never gather more than 5% of an herb in a given area and we practice leave no trace hiking and camping. Additionally we do not harvest from the same location twice in order to protect the bio-diversity of the ecosystem.

What is Bio-Dynamic Farming?

Bio-Dynamic Farming is a step above and beyond organic farming. It is sometimes referred to as Deep Organic. Bio-Dynamic Farming promotes a sustainable environment through practices that create harmony and honors the interrelation of all organisms on the farm. These practices include a variety of composts, teas, companion planting and water conservation techniques that encourage biodiversity and fertility creating a healthy ecosystem.

Why we go LOCAL:

Here at Wild Woods Wellness we are passionate about keeping it Hyper- Local! We truly believe in using herbs that grow right in our own back yard for many reasons. Utilizing herbs that grow wildly near us or that we cultivate close to home means that we can maintain a very high set of standards in a variety of areas. First we reduce the transportation costs and impact by using local herbs that are amazing substitutes for the more well known tropical herbs. Also this has the advantage of us being sure that we are not supporting unsustainable or unethical harvesting practices and working conditions. Through our combined experience utilizing local herbs we have noticed a simple truth: herbs that grow near to us work in harmony with our bodies. We suspect that this is due to adaptation to the micro-climates we and the herbs thrive in. Finally we go Hyper-Local because we have found that the abundance of mother earth and her healing bounty is only a step away.

The same consciousness goes into the selection of our containers, bags, packing material, and tags!! Since we embody the concepts of reduce, reuse, and recycle we strive to select containers that meet our very high standards. This means that our labels, bags, tins and bottles are made from recycled material that can be reused or recycled. Our labels are printed on 100% biodegradable paper in small batches to reduce waste.
