HI THERE! COME ON IN.

Carly has been wonderful with my attempt to purchase 5 of the illustrations she stocks, very professional, friendly, full of patience with me, and quick to respond as I struggled with PayPal the first time round. Second attempt and I managed to successfully pay for the beautiful prints I wanted. Thank you so much Carly!

Received the prints really quickly. I absolutely love them, even better than the photos, great quality, so chuffed I spotted them. I was intending to give as gifts but think it'll be hard to part with any of the prints, amazing price for such fab little artworks.
Philosophy - Anyone working in making things knows that it is difficult to produce a quality product at a fair price. We have achieved this by taking on a lot of the work normally outsourced and bringing it home, thereby keeping our costs to a minimum. In effect we are running our very own cottage industry. Our philosophy is to pay our suppliers fairly. We believe this mutual respect is crucial in building good relationships and in the process provide you with the best quality products. As people who work in the arts we often lament the fact that artists are generally underpaid. That is why we offer the artists a generous royalty for their talent and hard work. We think it is only fair since the artwork is the primary reason you are here.
Quality - Our prints are produced with love, care and attention to detail. Niels makes our prints at Idlewild Press, a boutique letterpress studio. Every print has been carefully produced using the finest materials available, and is checked for quality by trained eyes. We print onto archival-quality, 100% cotton rag (paper) from the 250 year old St Cuthberts Mill in Somerset, England. We also use the finest quality inks on the market.
Preservation - Our prints are delivered to you in a sturdy archival-quality sleeve. If kept in this sleeve, laid flat, and stored out of sunlight, they will last a lifetime. The sleeve also helps prevent damage by handling. That said you will probably want to hang them on a wall. We deliberately chose the standard 8×10 inch size as this is a commonly available picture frame size. You can generally purchase these at homewares stores. Glass is considered to be inert, however to prolong the print’s life we suggest putting a barrier between the print and the backing. Ask at a picture framer or an art supply shop for the best materials for this. Although printed using light-fast inks, the colours of the print will fade if exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Prints are best hung on a wall that receives only reflected sunlight.
