About Willictoria

Sales 1,179
On Etsy since 2013

Willictoria is specialized in quality children's clothing, that are trendy, comfortable and purposeful.

My love for sewing started at a very young age. By age 12 I was making my own dresses and pants. My husband bought my very own sewing machine when we were first dating, and I have expanded from there. Sewing for me is relaxing and rejuvenating.
My main focus is making quality items, that are trendy and useful. I have started the shop as an outlet for my creativity and desire to live a purposeful life. God has given me the talent of sewing, and my job is to put it to work. As a result I am able to homeschool my children and work (sew) from home. God is good and all Glory goes to Him.
Regarding custom work, I am able to make just about anything. From burp clothes to matching-outfits and all the way to king size quilts. Please contact me with any questions/ideas You have , and I will help you make them a reality.

Hi there! I'm Victoria, the person behind Willictoria. The name simply means "Willing Victoria", and it came to me at the darkest time of my life. I told myself:"If there is a will, there is a way"; my life serves as proof and the name as a reminder.

All items are handmade and should be washed in gentle cycle and dried on low or hung to dry for best results

Sizing details

All items are mostly true to size. I included a measuring chart just in case you are in doubt.

Custom and personalized orders

I love custom orders. Contact me with your ideas and let me help you make them a reality

Do your fabrics come from USA or China?

All of our fabrics are manufactured and printed in the USA. The majority of our fabrics are made in California, Ohio and Florida.

Do you attach buttons by machine or by hand?

After lots of research and testing, I have decided to attach the buttons in every single one of our items requiring a button by hand. That ensures that the button will stay in place through lots of pulling, tugging, washing, rough play and every day use. A button attached by hand is always stronger that a button attached by a machine.

Why do you pre-wash the fabrics? Doesn't that fade the fabrics?

I pre-wash all of my fabrics before cutting them into patterns to remove any remnant dye & chemicals from it, to pre-shrink it, and also to test the fabric itself. If it fades, or if the dye runs (most often the red one), I remove those fabrics from the project list, and use them for something else, around the house.
If the fabric looks as new after the washing and drying cycle , we're moving on to the ironing board and than to the cutting board.
Pre-washing the fabrics plays as a great benefit for you as my customers: you don't have to wash your items when you receive them; no need to order a size up(due to fear of shrinkage),and no need to handwash it (due to fear of fabric dye leakage).

Do you make everything yourself, or do you have someone helping you?

I make every item in my shop myself. This is one mama deal. At times I say "we", meaning "me and my family", but it is "I" that does the actual work.
I homeschool my children during the day, and sew at night once everyone has gone to sleep. My working hours are 9pm to 1, 3am, and on a few occasions 5am.
I try my best to fulfill the orders as quickly as I can, on most occasions shipping the items before the estimated shipping time.

Why do your items run big compared to Carter and other American clothing companies?

The truth is the sizing in USA has been played with a lot, and changed many times over the years to accommodate the ever growing(in size) population. What once was a size 8 now is a size 2(to make people feel better about themselves).
In the children's clothing industry the same has happened, but in the reverse order. What once( just a few years back) was a 3-6M size, now is a 6M, which would appear that your child is bigger that what he/she actually is.
All of my patterns come from Europe, and they run accurate to your child's actual age. Therefore a 4 month old wearing a 9M clothing in Carter's, would still wear a 3-6M size in my clothing, with room to grow.
