Announcement   Your friendly European vintage sewing shop: vintage sewing patterns, sewing magazines, knitting patterns, buttons, buckles and other notions. All my patterns are original, vintage patterns, unless it is an official reproduction and noted as such, like Vintage Vogue. I do not sell copies of vintage patterns.

My passions are art, fashion and anything vintage or vintage-looking. I sell not only the well-known names like Simplicity, Burda, Vogue, McCall and Advance, but also rarer ones like Hollywood, DuBarry, Parade or Marian Martin. But most of all, I like to give those little-known but great European ones like Ringier, Brigitte, Ullstein, Regina, The People, Woman, Herbillon, Jolymode etc. the place they deserve. Check them out, there are some great mostly unknown ones out there!

About

All about fashion, sewing... and more

I love sewing, I love vintage fashion, so the moment I discovered my first vintage sewing magazines, I was hooked on them. And once I started looking, I found so many great, unusual and original patterns that I knew this went beyond my own collecting and sewing for myself, so I started my shop. I have a special place in my heart for the Swiss pattern company Ringier, whose patterns I find regularly. You'll always find lots of them in my shop. They had everything on offer: kid's clothes, every day clothes, evening gowns... If you want to find out more about them, please check out the page on them on the Vintage Sewing Pattern Wiki, which I created: http://vintagepatterns.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Ringier

I started with opening this shop for my collage art, but found later that my passion for fashion, sewing and other things vintage has taken over, which is why I have separated my vintage wares onto two shops. In my other shop, www.etsy.com/shop/willynillyvintage , you'll find fun vintage fashion, accessories and knick-knacks.

So, what are Willy-nillies then? They are chaotic, willy-nilly arranged collages... but maybe there is an order behind it, or a message? Do they make sense? YOU decide! And unlike other art, they invite you to look closer - and maybe, whenever you look, you see something new. Being who I am, you'll find vintage and pop art touches throughout them.

I'm also a proud member of The Vintage Fashion Guild:

A passion for fashion, colors and art. Never one to follow what was fashion and never deterred by other's comments on my clothes. Learned to sew, knit and all else early from a mom who has done this all her life. Always full of ideas.

Welcome to the willynillyart Etsy shop - have a good look around and discover something new!

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Payment is accepted by Paypal only.
Shipping
If you buy more than one item, please wait until I have advised you of the actual shipping costs. These depend upon weight and size. If you have any doubts, please ask before buying multiple items.

Items ship from Switzerland usually within 3 days of purchase and payment received. I use Swiss Post, all costs listed are for shipping by Economy post, no insurance or tracking number included. If you want faster shipping or insurance and tracking, please ask me for the cost before you buy or go to check out and check the shipping upgrades I offer. I print the postage at home and it can't be changed once it has been printed.

Please note that according to Swiss Post, shipping can take everything from 7 to around 30 days. However, to overseas countries and especially the United States, even an envelope can take from 3 to 7 weeks. Please consider this.

I take no responsibility for customs fees or taxes that might apply in your country and I will not put a false value on the customs declaration. The "Local taxes included (where applicable) or "VAT included (where applicable)" is added by Etsy and it is misleading. My business is not VAT/tax registered and NO customs fees/VAT is included in my selling prices. These fees are charged by the country where you live and must always be paid by the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you want to cancel a sale, please contact me IMMEDIATELY after making the purchase. I will cancel the sale and refund you, no matter what your reason is. But I print the postage with address at home - once this has been printed, this is not refundable by the post.

Returns are accepted. Please contact me within 14 days of receiving your purchase if you wish to return it. I will refund the item's price, however, all shipping costs will be at your expense. The refund will be made once I have received the item back. I also refund shipping costs in case of serious damage or loss by shipping or if an item should have been wrongfully presented in my shop. No refunds will be given once items have been used by you.

Your item has not yet arrived? Please note the average time given that are usually needed for shipping and consider that in some cases, it may indeed just take a little longer.
Additional policies and FAQs
I take care to fully disclose all damage and issues to patterns and other items. The image in the listing is always of the actual pattern, even though I occasionally may have the same pattern listed twice. All my patterns are stored and shipped in a plastic envelope to make sure that they are protected. All my patterns are original, vintage patterns, unless it is an official reproduction and noted as such, like Vintage Vogue. I do not sell printed or digital copies of vintage patterns. Therefore, these can be damaged. Also, I do not sell patterns that are so incomplete as that they are not usable anymore. Being a sewer myself, I know in which case a pattern is still usable or not.

Not happy with your purchase? I am striving for all my transactions to be worthy of 5 stars. If you feel that there are any issues with your purchase, please do contact me before leaving feedback.
