Announcement   ***Thank you very much to all of my dear customers and friends who supported my shop over the years. My shop is closed (hopefully temporarily) due to hand pain. Best wishes and much love to you all!***

* All of my chopsticks are food safe. Also, they work very nicely for putting your hair up.
* Search "My Hashi" for valuable information regarding the benefits of reusable chopsticks!
* What is "washi"? Washi is a type of Japanese paper made from various plant fibers, usually mulberry fiber (occasionally also called "rice paper"). The washi that I use on my chopsticks is handmade in Japan, and the patterns are silk-screened by hand as well.

Welcome to Wind and Rain Handmades. My name is Marie, and I reside in rural North-central Alabama.
I've been designing and selling my own handmade chopsticks since early 2008. The paper that I use for my chopsticks is high quality handmade washi, and obtained directly from Japan. I adore washi of all kinds, and love to collect a variety of colors and patterns for my chopsticks.
I hope you enjoy the finished product of my labors as much as I do.

Payment
I accept Paypal or money order. No checks please. If you choose to pay by money order, please state in the Message To Seller that you intend to do so, so that I know your payment is on its way. I prefer instant payment, but if you can't pay right away, or are sending a money order, please make this known in the Message to Seller.
Shipping
I primarily use First Class shipping, though I will use priority or delivery confirmation if you prefer it. If you wish to use priority or delivery confirmation, please convo me before you make your purchase so that I may change the shipping costs to accomodate your decision, for ease at checkout. If shipping costs less than the amount paid the difference will be refunded (this is a rarity, however, as I usually pay a small portion of the shipping out of pocket to keep costs low for you). Please note that if an item refund is needed, I will refund the selling price, but not the shipping costs.
I ship items out no later than a week after the date of order. Usually it is much sooner than that, but in some cases (lack of necessary packaging materials, delay due to weekends or holidays, etc.) it can take a little longer than I originally anticipate. I strive to get your item to you in a timely manner, however.
Refunds and Exchanges
If the item is damaged upon arrival, please let me know within 48 hours of recieving it, either by Etsy convo or email. I will refund the item if it is shipped back within 10 days of arrival. I will gladly refund the selling price, but not shipping. If you have any concerns at all, please let me know.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have any additional questions, concerns, or would like to place a custom order, please convo or email me and I will address the matter as soon as I can. I am all too happy to help. Thank you!
