From My Heart and Hands to Yours

I'm a Saturday child, as such Idle hands are not happy hands! Creating art is my passion, my sanity, and has always done a wonderful job at keeping my hands busy.

Wind Dancer Studios takes that need to keep my hands busy and allows me to share with you what I love. The designs you see in my shop have been brought to life over the course of my lifetime. Many have been carefully hoarded away on post it notes, receipt and envelope corners, or tucked away in sketch books just waiting for the right stone in the right color or just a little spark of inspiration. Quite often a small element I'm using will remind me of this sketch or that one bringing it into the light of day.

I'm heavily inspired by the sweeping lines of ornate ironworks from the Victorian and Art Nouveau eras, the flourishes of Baroque and Gothic periods, the glitz and glamour of the 20's throughout the midcentury, nature, color, ok it ALL inspires me! This means my designs can take on a wonderfully romantic vintage feel and may at other times be thoroughly bohemian.

I enjoy every moment of design, from concept to sketch to creation. I love the clarity of an A grade stone but sometimes a lesser grade stone just has more character and is perfect for the designs I see in my head. I love feeling the metals move as I hammer on the anvil, to see them change color or fuse as I pass over them with the fire of the torch, metals becoming one with each other and with my vision of them. Stones and metal adorning each other and playing to each others strengths while protecting each others weaknesses, much like any good marriage. Creating is my passion and it's my great pleasure to share it with you.

I wholeheartedly welcome your custom orders. Whether they require time in the flame, on the anvil or just a simple twist of wire, I would love to chat and create something special just for you!

I began hand crafting jewelry at a very young age, creating my first beaded daisy chain around age 5. Today I bend wire and play with fire and jewelry continues to be a heart felt expression of my creativity. From my heart and hands to yours!

I ship Monday through Friday, and will ship your purchase the day after your payment clears. The only exceptions are US Holidays and of course the weekends.

Most of the time shipping takes 3-5 days in the Continental US but every now and again they take the scenic route. I once shipped a pair of earrings that went to Hawaii before reaching their final destination.

Shipping costs:

In the US:
I ship USPS first class for $3.40 or in a flat rate box for $5.95, priority mail, both options come with tracking.
I do combine shipping at no extra charge in the $5.95 flat rate box, and .50 for every additional item first class.

I will be adding insurance for all purchases over $50.oo as I feel this gives us both an added layer of protection during shipping. No extra charge for this service.

International Locations:
Boy those prices jumped didn't they? Prices vary by country so please check the listing for the actual shipping cost to your country.
Please be aware, you may still have customs, VAT or duty charges to pay when your package arrives and you are responsible for paying those. It might be a good idea to check with your governments import policies so you won't be surprised. A friend shared this handy little calculator that may help you estimate customs fees (tariffs, VAT etc)
Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be happy with your purchase. If for some reason you aren't satisfied after receiving it, please contact me within 5 business days so I can work with you to make it right.

I will be happy to exchange your item or refund your money, as long as item is returned in the same condition as received in and in its original packaging.
Additional policies and FAQs

All merchandise is Guaranteed against flaws in workmanship under normal wear and tear.

Lost Earring and other Mishaps:

Life happens, we lose a favorite earring or a bracelet gets caught on something and the clasp gets pulled out of whack. If I still have materials on hand that I used to make it the first time I can remake an earring for half the cost of the pair. Clasps can be repaired or replaced and safety chains or extenders added. Drop me a line or two and we'll talk about what I can do to get your favorite jewelry back in working order.

Repairs due to abuse or unreasonable use will be considered on a case by case basis and if accepted will incur a charge for materials and time.
