Etsy has increased their seller fee from 5% to 6.5%, and to recoup this cost I've had to raise prices across the board. I am able to offer free shipping only on orders $35 and larger, since shipping actually *does* cost money, and the expectation of free shipping is hard on micro-businesses like mine. Thanks for your understanding.
It's just me here, balancing motherhood, stewardship of a garden and household, and a creative life. Processing times are generous for my own sake, but if you need your items quickly please let me know. (Your patience with *transit* times, after the postal service has your order, is greatly appreciated.)
I love natural materials, saving cast-off items from the waste stream, and caring for the earth with biodegradable fibers and non-toxic dyes. You'll see the influence of the things I love, and the place I live, in my work. I almost always ship orders in gently used packing supplies.

Good, Quiet, Beautiful Work
I started my journey as an artist with pottery, a medium I adore, and focused on that for eight years. In the middle of this time, I became a mother. My art went through transitions, and I made some beautiful stuff, but much less of it.
During this strange time of upheaval, I discovered knitting. Long story short, over 5 years and two additional babies later, this has led to fiber dyeing, spinning, sweater recycling, upcycling textiles, dyeing with local plants, and processing raw sheep fleeces.
I greatly value the domestic. I love things made from scratch--food, music, pottery, sweaters . . . there really is love embodied in these things. I'm not much interested in being avant garde or groundbreaking, when there is so much beauty to be found in everyday objects. Something new and fresh can be placed within these things, to delight the soul and revive our daily rituals, without seeking to shock or break boundaries. It's good, quiet, beautiful work.
This shop is an outflowing of my journey towards the good life as I see it, and I hope my work speaks to you.

Please DO NOT send me a rude message. Keep it constructive. I will not answer unnecessarily rude convos (yes, I am writing this because it has happened). Everyone deserves to be treated like a human, from your local Walmart customer service representative, to the small-time maker you never see but only communicate with digitally. Thank you.
Shipping
**Materials**
I place priority on reusing materials (for my art, and for shipping). Your shipment may not appear sleek and new, but it has been packed with care. I do mostly use new boxes for shipping fragile items. Consider saving and reusing the shipment materials you receive with your order! They often have a lot of life left in them.
**Methods**
I use USPS. Shipping times range from 2 to 9 days, most on the fast end of that. If you need a tracking number and didn't receive one automatically, get in touch!
**Speed**
If you're concerned about arrival time, convo me before/when ordering!
Additional policies and FAQs
- Imperfection is one of the lovely things about it. Variation is normal: some is because I'm human, and some is for fun!
- I do my best to remove all extra bits of plant matter, which is common in animal fibers, but a few specks may have stayed in your handspun. Just flick it out and say to yourself, "ah, nature!".
- And if you've never worked with handspun: you are in for a treat.
**About colors:**
-You know how this goes: different monitors display colors differently. I do compare my photos to the actual item to make sure they are as accurate as possible.
-Pottery/natural dye colors:
Glazes and natural dyes are quite variable, and that's one beautiful thing about them.
-Yarn colors:
If you need to match or get a specific color, I suggest shopping at your Local Yarn Store (LYS), doing a Google Image search on your desired colorway, sending me a convo, or adjusting your expectations (and I mean that kindly! thus creativity is born).**
