About

Gotta Luv a Llama!

We began our fiber farm in 1999 with three alpacas, Hershey, Buster and Snowflake. They are getting older, but still producing fiber and brightening our days. In 2000 we added a llama, Montgomery, to have a baby sitter for Snowflake while Hershey and Buster tried out the show ring. Turned out Montgomery was the one that loved the show ring and he and I traveled the country and enjoyed every minute from Florida to Nebraska!

I learned to spin in 2001 and shortly after that began weaving. While not new to weaving, looms are a bit different than my previous basket weaving days! We have graduated to two spinning wheels and multiple looms, along with a fiber room and a fiber studio on our farm.

We sell our products at many shows throughout the midwest, multiple brick and mortar stores and the web.

We offer farm tours to groups and individuals alond with a Fiber Dyeing workshop called The Fiber Dyeing Extravaganza.

Visit our blog for funny stories and farm pictures, www.windingcreekfiberfarm.blogspot.com or visit our site www.the knittingllama.com

Thanks!
