Sunflowers for Ukraine! Thank you to all the wonderful knitters and crocheters who are helping to contribute to the Ukrainian Red Cross/ International Committee of the Red Cross. <3 And I'm thrilled to announce that the first donation (as of 4/22/22) was $690. Knitters and crocheters are the best!
Stitch markers that tell your favorite stories.

Please note: all international shipping is done via USPS 1st class. Unfortunately the $35 free shipping offer does not apply to international orders.
Looking for Progress Keepers for your knitting? Just select "crochet" as your stitch marker option and I'll make them for you with lobster clasps. If you'd only like 1 (or a few) of your set made that way, just message me at the time of purchase.
New to Etsy? Here's a nice basic tutorial on how to purchase & pay: http://www.etsy.com/help_guide_checkout.php
I am unable to take requests for rubber stamps at this time.

5 out of 5 starsI bought 10 sheep tape measures as gifts for the ladies in my Prayer Shawl ministry, 10 sheep stitch markers for myself and a Border Collie stitch marker to go with them so I don't lose any sheep :-) They arrived promptly. The tape measures have inches on one side of the tape and centimeters on the other side, so they're perfect for all types of patterns. The stitch marker rings are nice and smooth, so I don't expect them to catch on the yarn as some markers have that I bought in the past. All of these are precious and look so much better than I thought they would from the pictures. I had ordered rings for knitting, but they're so nice, I think I'll go back and order some with lobster clasps for my crocheting.

My day job
Putting smiles on the faces of knitters since 2007
Winemakerssister is a shop that evolved out of my love of fiber arts and my need to create. I don't sell the materials (yarn, fiber, needles), I sell unexpected treats to make knitters smile.
My stitch markers are characterized by their sense of whimsey and fun. They're created out of a knowledge of knitting -- they're snag-free and practical and designed for specific projects -- but they're also fanciful and tell stories. I simply love that the knitting world has evolved to include fun and beautiful stitch markers, rather than just utilitarian ones.
And the mugs -- you can tell right away that I'm a collector of quotes, phrases, and snippets of prose. I taught calligraphy for many years, and I'm just charmed by the fact that I can now combine it with my love of knitting to make people happy.
My day job at a winery is very demanding, but I'm also drawn to the quiet, solitary work involved in creating items for the shop. Occasionally my day job intrudes into my Etsy time and I have to put orders on hold for a day or two, but usually the two past times work well together.

I'm one of those people who aren't happy unless they have an artistic outlet. My hands need to be busy pretty much all of the time. My shop gives a purpose to my handiwork, and I'm ever so grateful that so many folks enjoy what I make!

Shop policies
Everything is produced from natural products. I love recycled materials and will mention them if used. Everything is HANDMADE!
All items are made in a smoke-free home. My home, however, IS pet friendly. Please keep this in mind if you are purchasing an item for someone allergic to cats or dogs. This is especially important for fabric items, they seem to attract pet hairs the most.
I love trying all sorts of things, so you never know what you'll find here! If you have an idea for something you'd like that I don't make, please let me know. I am extremely open to new ideas! I love trying new things!
I am sorry but I am no longer carving rubber stamps.

Shipping
Sadly, neither Etsy nor the the USPS supports international 1st class shipping. So I have had to remove the option from my shop. But if you are particularly interested in an international order, please contact me directly. I can do an occasional international package - I just need to drive it to the post office and ship from there.
Shipping charges are figured for 1st class postage for items that weigh less than 13 ounces and Priority for those weighing more than 13 ounces. If you'd like faster service, please contact me for adjusted shipping charges. The same is true with insurance. I would be happy to add insurance to your package -- please let me know if you'd like to pay for this service. Once you contact me, I'll set up a custom listing with your individualized shipping preferences.
SHIPPING PRICES: It's difficult to set shipping prices through Etsy's system and have them always be accurate. This is especially true with my painted china. If it works out that you pay too much for shipping, I would be happy to refund the difference. If you'd rather have me set up a custom listing with accurate shipping prices, please contact me. I am happy to do so. At this time, the shipping charges are less than it costs me to ship to some areas in the U.S.
Winemakerssister is not responsible for any damages that occur during shipping. Once your package leaves my hands, I can no longer control the handling.
SHIPPING DELAYS: I make every effort to ship out packages as soon as possible. But after the package leaves my hands, I no longer have any control over it. At that point it's in the hands of the US postal system, sometimes Santa Claus, and sometimes international customs offices. Unfortunately I have no other information than that shown by looking up the tracking number. Once a package is shipped, I send the buyer an email to let them know that it's on its way. The email includes the tracking number for the package. You can follow its journey by looking up the tracking number on the usps.com website.
