Thank you for visiting! Our farm keeps us busy all year long.
During the month of June, we collected 10% of our Etsy sales to Southern Poverty Law Center for Fighting Hate, Teaching Tolerance, Seeking Justice & Civil Rights Memorial work. In July, we collected 10% of our Etsy sales to donate to the American Civil Liberties Union to help create a more perfect union, beyond one person, party, or side. In August and September, 10% of our Etsy sales will be donated to Black Lives Matter to support the movement and ongoing fight to end State-sanctioned violence, to liberate Black people, and end white supremacy forever.
Currently we are participating in the "Shave 'em to Save 'em" program that is organized by The Livestock Conservancy. We have rare breed wool for sale in our Etsy shop for those that are earning Passport stickers in this program that encourages support of rare and heritage breed natural fiber-producing livestock.

Now that sweater weather is upon us, we hurrying to harvest the color from the gardens and the fleeces from the flocks to update our inventory..

5 out of 5 starsOh my GOODNESS!! I LOVE this wool! (moreover, my golden retriever couldn't keep her nose out of it!! The tail wags, and excited snooffles - was entertaining for endless minutes.) I highly recommend this shop. The yarn was neatly wound, packaged beautifully and I received it in a very timely manner! Thank you ever so much!!
Be safe,
Grins and tail wags from Bailey

5 out of 5 starsI LOVE Tammy and this workshop did not disappoint! I feel like I now have a solid start to experimenting further with natural dye. This class covered the basics really well and ended with a skein of hand dyed yarn. The dyeing bug has bit me and I can't wait to do more!

The Farm Women of Wing and a Prayer Farm
The women of Wing and a Prayer Farm decided to take their wares to the road in 2010 when they hit the local Farmers' Markets in Southwestern Vermont. Folks loved Char's original aprons, Sarah Jane's gorgeous art, and the fresh fare from the kitchen and fiber from the flock.
Tammy's pride and joy are the Shetland Sheep. They are so huggable and loveable. They'll climb into your lap for cuddles if you let them. We shear them twice a year and have their fleece spun into 2 & 3-ply yarn for fabulous knitting and crocheting. Though Sarah Jane & Charlotte are fine spinners, Tammy is a bit slow, and together they decided to hone their skills in other areas while allowing Battenkill Fiber in Greenwich, NY, Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, Vermont, Vermont Fiber Mill in Brandon, VT, & Hampton Fibermill in Richmond, VT handle the spinning. We grow the ingredients for the yarn recipes - Cotswold, Cormo, Merino & Shetland wool, Mohair from the Angora Goats & Alpaca fiber from our little herd of alpacas(8 of them!) Beautiful mill spun yarns from working closely with small mills and the owners helps yield the loveliest product from our friends in the fields. They know how to do their fiber justice.
Around here, Tammy is also known as "That Chicken Lady", in hushed tones behind her back. She raises a variety of layer hens, white peafowl (yes, all white), ducks and turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners from Vermont to Ohio...
The local community loves Wing and a Prayer Farm's kitchen - baked goods fly out of the ovens year round, especially during the summer when plenty of fruits are in season.
We had a low year for honey this past year, but hope that 2016 will bring more to the shelves of our store.
