simple with a touch of flair.

Hi! My name is Jenny and I am the owner behind this humble little shop called Winsome Creations. I hold a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Tennessee, and started my business as a completely self-taught studio jeweler.

My story begins at the end of 2010, when I neared the end of my Advertising Design degree in New York City. I was in the middle of moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, and at that point in my life, I was unsure about the career path I chose to pursue. And so with a leap of faith, I dove headfirst into jewelry making, armed with nothing but my passion, curiosity and creativity, and the search for something deeper and more fulfilling in my life.

As it turns out, I loved it. I loved working with my hands, getting dirty in metal dust, bringing ideas to life from my own ideas and drawings. There is something inherently therapeutic and amazing to be able to form metal with heat and tools and my hands, and to turn it into something I envision.

As I come from a fine arts background, my style is studio jewelry that leans towards the simple, free-form and organic. If I can get away with not making straight lines or have everything matchy-matchy, I’ll do it! Although from time to time, I also heavily enjoy creating minimal work with the contrast of bright and dark silver, and mixing metals. Sometimes my pieces will come straight from an idea into metal, whereas other times it takes a few revisions in sketches. Either way, there is simply nothing I enjoy more than my work, and that has been extremely important to me.

I am still learning a lot as I go — but in the end, I hope what I make will stay true to the namesake of my shop and bring the wearer of my jewelry a feeling of joy and pleasure, and convey a sense of handmade authenticity.

If you're interested seeing updates, work in progress shots or what will show up next in the shop, feel free to follow me on Instagram @winsomecreations.

Thank you for supporting one woman’s dreams and passion00 and I hope you’ll find something here just for you and your loved ones.
