Every single card and print has been handprinted by me in my little home workshop, so each item is truly a unique piece - perfect when you need an extra special card for that extra special someone!

CHARITABLE DONATIONS:
>> I donate a portion of all my sales (both retail and wholesale) to The Innocence Project. Their mission is to free the staggering number of innocent people who remain incarcerated, and to bring reform to the system responsible for their unjust imprisonment. You can find out more at innocenceproject.org.

>> April & May 2020 - I donated $737 to Meals on Wheels America by selling two special fundraising card designs. Thank you for supporting this cause with me!

PRODUCTION AND TURNAROUND TIME:
>> Cards & Prints - 1-2 business days

STAY UP-TO-DATE
>> instagram - www.instagram.com/winterpicklepress/
>> website - www.winterpicklepress.com

SHIPPING:
>> I ship Standard USPS First Class for domestic orders (with tracking for 3+ cards or larger prints) and shipping is reasonably priced for international orders. Shipping upgrades (tracking for single cards and Priority Mail) are available at checkout for U.S. customers.

I CAN SEND YOUR CARD TO YOUR RECIPIENT:
>>A lot of customers ask me to send their card directly to the recipient, and I am so happy to do that! I typically write messages inside single cards by hand (my writing is pretty neat and definitely legible!), but I print longer messages onto a paper insert when the same message is requested in multiple cards (e.g. for mail to clients or for an announcement). Don't forget to include the correct "Ship To" address at checkout for your recipient! :)

Frequently asked questions

How will my prints and cards be shipped?

I usually ship with the US Postal Service. Single cards ship standard First Class without tracking info (but you can upgrade to add tracking if desired). Multiple cards/larger prints are upgraded to First Class Package Service which comes with tracking information. An upgrade to Priority Mail (with tracking) is also available at checkout for all US orders.

I carefully package all prints and cards to try and best prevent any damage in transit. I use almost entirely recycled & recyclable materials as packaging, and try to avoid the use of plastics or bubble wrap. A typical order will arrive in a recycled cardboard mailer, with some recycled tissue paper for padding. I also use compostable plant-based protective sleeves when needed.

How long will it take to process my order?

Orders are typically dropped off at the post office within 1 business day (including Saturday). Sometimes it is 2 business days if there are lots of orders placed at the same time, or if customizations are required on your order.

For larger custom orders we can confirm ship dates before you place your order.

Can I stock your cards or prints in my store?

Yes! Please send me a message on Etsy or send an email to info@winterpicklepress.com and I can send you wholesale information and/or samples as required.

How do you make your cards and prints?

All my cards and prints are handmade using a technique called block printing. I use different types of linoleum blocks (or "plates") into which I carve my designs, so the prints resulting from this method are usually called linocuts, lino prints, or linoleum prints. I use special sharp carving tools to cut my design out of the lino block, and then using rollers (or "brayers"), I roll printing ink onto the surface of the block.

I then transfer the inked design onto paper or card using either my small etching press (the paper and block are pressed between a metal roller and a metal plate) or with the use of a printing baren which looks a lot like a large flat spoon.

Some designs require the use of multiple linoleum blocks and ink colors.
