These are some of my wishing wells purchases I have made from other Etsy sellers.

Vintage treasures from glass to paper

I am making my way through an airplane hangar full of vintage items with my elderly 94 year old neighbor.* Some of the pieces are on shelves, grouped together with like items but many are in unmarked boxes. I have to unwrap each item, dust it off, figure out what it is, photograph it, research prices and then get it listed. I usually try to list something similar once an item sells. Sometimes I get on a roll and will list several like items in a row. I honestly have thousands of items yet to list.

I am no expert on antiques, but I am learning something new every day, that's for sure. Not only have I attended shows over the years and collected my own items, I also inherited Mrs. Wells' extensive reference library primarly focusing on glassware and pottery.

The best part of finding the time to go through the hangar is spending time with my dear neighbor, who has become like a grandfather to me. He helped put everything in there after his wife packed it all up. She spent a lifetime buying and selling her treasures. She had a store at one time and also used to set up at antique shows throughout Las Vegas in the 1970s and 1980s. Now that she has passed, the two of us are enjoying finding homes for her life's work. He enjoys when I read him an e-mail I've received from someone who is so excited because they have found that missing piece to a set, or that something they bought from us has brought back great memories.

*Sadly, Mr. Wells passed away March 2018.
