Welcome to my shop! I offer a wide array of new & vintage supplies in my shop, as well as professional quality, hand-pressed buttons, magnets, mirrors and bottle openers. I am always on the lookout for high-quality, hard-to-find products with reasonable prices. My policies are outlined below - please read before purchasing as there is a lot of important information here that may pertain to your order.

I apologize in advance for my lack of brevity but the flipside is that I am thorough. If you have questions after reading this page, please convo - I'd be glad to help!

Please choose carefully! I DO NOT accept returns due to buyer's remorse - misreading or overlooking pertinent information in the description, imagining an item bigger or smaller...these all fall under the heading of "buyer's remorse". Accurate measurements are ALWAYS listed along with a thorough description and many photos. Please convo before purchase if you have questions!

Due to changes in PayPal's fees, the "initial transaction fee" (usually about 30 cents) will be deducted if a full refund is issued UNLESS it is being issued due to my error.

All refunds or exchanges must be approved via email or convo! If your order is incorrect or damaged (postal damage is not covered unless insured), please convo or email me WITHIN 7 DAYS of receipt and within 45 days of purchase with the details. If I've made an error, I will gladly either issue a refund or ship replacements (your choice). Items must be received in the same condition in which they were sent.

I ask that you pay for shipping and when I've received the items, I will reimburse your costs UP TO the initial shipping fee (if you paid $2 shipping at checkout but choose a more expensive method to ship the items back, you will only receive the $2 you initially paid). If you would like a refund, it will be issued minus initial shipping fees, which are non-refundable. For exchanges, I will pay to reship upon receipt of the incorrect or damaged items.

I DO NOT issue refunds for orders for which I have proof of shipment! If your order is delayed, lost or damaged by the post office, NO refunds or replacements will be sent UNLESS insurance was purchased. Only a few packages out of thousands have failed to reach their destination safely. Still, your order will only be replaced or refunded IF THE PACKAGE WAS INSURED.

There are NO RETURNS on custom 1" and 2.25" promo items! Custom orders are very carefully packaged and are covered by the same policies stated above. Please contact me before buying if you would like to purchase insurance.

Immediate payment is required. I accept payment via PayPal (no E-Checks please). You can use a credit card to pay via PayPal without creating an account.

★PLEASE verify that your address listed with Etsy & PayPal match! Please let me know the correct address if they don't. Paid orders with no shipping address issues are given first priority. Conflicting addresses cause shipping delays.

★EXPEDITED SHIPPING: Please contact me BEFORE purchasing if you:
*need a quote for Priority or Express mail.
*want your order shipped via UPS or FedEx.
*have a DEADLINE. Requests for immediate shipping made after purchase without prior discussion are subject to my stated shipping time.

★US ORDERS: Ship via USPS & usually arrive within 2-7 days after shipment. I am NOT responsible for delays, damage or loss caused by the USPS. For this reason, I recommend purchasing insurance, though it is not required. If you’d like your order insured, please contact me prior to purchase. Refunds will not be issued due to delays, loss or negligence on the part of the USPS.

★INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Ship via USPS first class air mail. This is the most affordable method available, with packages usually arriving safely in 10 days or less. Delays are usually attributable to customs. Please be aware that your package is neither trackable nor insured against damage, loss or theft in transit & packages can occasionally take up to 3-8 weeks to arrive. This is not something I have any control over & if something happens to your package in transit, I have no way to trace its whereabouts. This means that if your order is lost, it is not eligible for reshipment or refund. Priority shipping is available if you would like quicker delivery but this method is still not trackable or insured. Express shipping allows for tracking but is very expensive - please convo prior to purchase if you'd like a quote for either of these options.

CUSTOMS &/OR DUTY &/OR TARIFF FEES are the responsibility of the buyer. These fees vary depending on what country you live in & what you have ordered. Please familiarize yourself with the regulations of your country's postal service regarding these fees. If you are required to pay a fee you did not anticipate, please be aware that you have assumed full responsibility at the time of purchase & will not be reimbursed. If a pacakge is returned to me due to refusal to pay customs or duty fees, no refund will be issued.

CUSTOMS FORMS are filled out COMPLETELY & FACTUALLY in compliance with the law. Orders will not be misrepresented as gifts, nor will I falsify cost or content. There are absolutely NO exceptions to this policy as it is illegal to falsify customs forms. Please do not ask me to commit a federal offense to save you a few dollars!

★RUSH SERVICE: (for custom button, magnet, or mirror orders) I offer rush service & rush shipping. Rush service means that I will drop everything & begin work on your order, generally having it finished & in the mail within 1-3 days of receiving artwork & payment. If you would also like rush shipping, please be aware that this is a separate fee. Please convo me BEFORE purchase to inquire about rush service / shipping as the price & turnaround time varies depending on the size of your order & my current workload.

★RETURNED OR LOST PACKAGES: If an error on my part causes your package to be returned to me I will immediately contact you & offer to reship at my expense or refund your money if you prefer. If your package is returned or lost due to an error on your end (including but not limited to: typos or incorrect information in your address, not being present to sign for a package that requires a signature) I will gladly reship if your package comes back to me but I do request that you pay the postage it will cost to do so. If it is not returned to me, you will need to purchase the item(s) again if you would like me to ship them out again.

If your package has a delivery confirmation number that shows your order has been scanned at a post office one or more times along the way but has not arrived, I cannot offer a refund or reshipment as it is clear that the package has been shipped. Packages that lose their way often turn up after a few weeks but I do not offer refunds for these wayward packages if they have not been insured. If you would like to purchase insurance, please contact me prior to purchase so that I can add the cost of insurance to your order.
Additional policies and FAQs
★CONTACT / PRIVACY POLICY: Questions about products, policies, and pending or past orders will be answered as soon as possible. I often get very busy and put all of my focus on getting current orders out on time so please allow 1-3 days for me to respond and please check my shop announcement - if I am sick, out of town or otherwise unable to reply, you will find this information there. I may contact you via email if I need to send you a file that is too large for a convo or if I have tried to reach you via convo with no success. I will not sell your information, send you newsletters or sign you up for a mailing list. I will only use your email address for necessary contact regarding your order. My emails may go to your junk folder so please either add my website and/or email address (thewistfulrepublic.com / sarah at thewistfulrepublic .com) to an allow list or check your junk folders if you are expecting an email from me.

★WHOLESALE: Many items in my shop are available wholesale. Please convo or email your inquiry, including your shipping location, and I will get back to you with a quote.

★CUSTOM ORDERS / ORDERS FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED: Please do not place partial orders accompanied by requests for additional items! If you'd like to order a larger quantity of an item or a sold item that has not yet been relisted, please contact me prior to purchase and I can set up a listing for you or relist the sold item(s) you're interested in. My shipping process undergoes a lot of confusion when an order is divided up into multiple parts, creating more room for error on my end and disappointment on yours. If a partial order is placed, I will contact you to let you know that the sale will be cancelled, your money refunded and then we can start over from scratch, either with a revised invoice or a reserved listing. Contacting me first saves us both time and makes everything run much smoother!

★PACKAGING: Orders come from a smoke-free, cat-inhabited environment. I use recycled, repurposed and reused items whenever possible and encourage everyone to do so as well. I no longer include invoices as they are available online to print for your records if needed. I include a page of glue tips when applicable. Please let me know if you are a repeat customer who does not need another copy so I can save paper.

★GIFT WRAPPING: My handmade buttons, magnets and mirrors come in clear plastic bags with cute hang tags stapled to the top. Several customers have given them as gifts and felt that the packaging was perfect. The nature of my shop fortunately spares me the daunting task of learning to wrap gifts which also keeps costs down so I do not offer gift wrapping services.

★25MM SETTINGS: I am searching for 25mm settings in silver-plate and silver-tone but for now I only have the brass settings that are listed in my shop.

★RING BLANKS: I do not have any other style or size other than those listed in my shop. The blanks with 10mm pads are adjustable so there is no set size. They are all approximately a US size 7-8 when I ship them to you but they adjust to fit almost any finger. Whether or not they'll turn someone's finger green depends on that person's individual metal allergies or sensitivities and the severity of those allergies or sensitivities.

★CHARMS: Unless stated in the listing, the brass charms in my shop are not 3D, "solid" or "puffed" and they are not reversible (they have a front and they have a back). They are stamped from a thin but sturdy sheet of brass which results in a lightweight and affordable embellishment for a wide variety of projects. The pictures showing the actual size of any item in my shop are configured for a specific screen setting (1024 x 768 pixels), so if yours is different or you do not know what your screen setting is, please go by the measurements listed.

★CUSTOM PROMOS: These listings are for custom magnets, buttons, mirrors and bottle openers / keychains featuring your artwork, company logo, photos of friends and family and so on. You email me the images, I proof the images and let you know if any changes need to be made and then print, cut, and press this artwork into magnets, buttons, mirrors or bottle openers / keychains. The price for these items does not extend to my own designs that are available in my shop although these designs are available in larger quantities per request.

My turnaround time is always listed in my shop announcement and varies according to my current workload. LARGER QUANTITIES are not a problem! Quantities of up to 250 pcs of any item are generally available with no additional turnaround time. Quantities of 500+ may require 1-2 additional weeks of turnaround time as additional parts may need to be ordered and additional time is required to process larger orders. If you're interested in larger quantities, please contact me with details regarding product(s) of interest, quantity required, your location and potential deadline for completion.

★FEEDBACK: I feel that a transaction is finished when you've left positive feedback. This is how I know that your order has arrived safely and you are happy with it. Please do not use feedback as your first and/or only means of communicating dissatisfaction. If you contact me and tell me what's wrong, I can offer solutions. If you immediately leave neutral or negative feedback, you are closing the lines of communication and not allowing me an opportunity to work things out to your satisfaction. Feedback is vital for me as a seller as it allows my customers to have faith in my business and I will gladly do what I can to make things right if given the opportunity.

With regard to leaving feedback, I am woefully behind by at least 2-3 months most of the time but I know feedback is vitally important for new shops so if you want me to leave your feedback right away, just send me a convo. Running the shop and getting everyone's orders to them on time keeps me incredibly busy but please don't think your business (or your feedback!) is not appreciated because it truly is.

★FREEBIES: When running a business, all costs must be considered and nothing is truly free. Including "free" items raises the cost of business and, in turn, the cost of the items I sell. I've also found that, as a customer, I frequently receive freebies that I have no use for, despite their generous and kind intent. The majority of the items in my shop are useful in a wide array of projects and have found happy homes with wonderfully varied individuals which is delightful but makes it nearly impossible to pick a free gift that I'm sure you'll enjoy. I'd much rather send you exactly what you've ordered and you know you want for a reasonable price.

★REFUSAL OF SERVICE: Please note that your order will be canceled and your money refunded if you have excessive negative feedback from other sellers, especially if this feedback indicates fraudulent activity. If I receive another order from you under a different username, I will again cancel the order and refund your money and request that you do not make any further purchases from my shop. This is VERY rare, in fact I have never had to do this, but I reserve the right to do so.
