Closet Artist No More

My Ma (who wishes to remain anonymous) is a pretty amazing lady. She's had some crazy experiences, worked in many different fields and raised three kids. One thing she has always been is a closet artist. That's a weird phrase, right?

I've seen Ma's sketchbooks from when she was a teenager (I won't tell you when that was ) and to me, it seems that she has always been able to take something she sees and get it down on paper (or any available surface) with a pencil, pen, paintbrush or whatever - and even when you see it years later, never having seen the thing she was looking at - you can see what she saw.

She can translate this into other areas of art as well: sewing, crochet, even sculpting things out of clay. She started crocheting in January, and she quickly learned all the weird shorthand that is the language of the field. She can follow any pattern, she can make anything and make it look easy (even while she's cursing because she lost count... again).

So back to that closet artist statement... If you met Ma, it would probably take you a while to learn these things about her. This is why she now has an Etsy shop, and why I am the one running it. I know I'm her daughter and I'm supposed to love her and admire what she does because she's my mom - but even if I weren't her daughter, I would feel the same way, and many of our friends do as well, once they see the things she creates.

The best part is, now you don't have to take my word for it. Check it out for yourself :)

    Over the years, I have learned that I make a really good assistant. I've done it for many people, and learned many things and now I get to use my skills to run this shop for my Ma, so she can create, create, create!

    Ma has been an artist as long as I've known her... and probably before that, too :) She draws, paints, crochets, sews and a whole bunch of other things. She's also totally into making fermented food, gardening and crime novels.

Right now, we only accept Paypal. You can pay with a credit card even if you don't have a Paypal account. If you need help with this, just let us know.

We also collect sales tax in Florida. So, if you live here, 7% sales tax is added to the price of your items.

If for some reason you need to cancel your order, let us know by conversation.

Please note that we ship when payment is rendered in full.
Shipping
All domestic shipping costs are for USPS first class or priority mail flat rate, whichever is more economical. If you prefer a different shipping method, please let us know in the message to seller. If you choose a more expensive shipping method, we'll add this to your total and convo you to confirm the new total before we ship.

If for some reason your order does not arrive by the expected time, is lost in transit or damaged; please let us know and we will work with you to resolve the issue, whether it be following up with the courier, reshipping, refund, exchange or what-have-you; to ensure a satisfactory solution.

If you're buying something as a gift, and you'd like us to gift wrap and ship it to your special someone, let us know in the message to seller, with the giftee's name and address and we'll happily do that for you. Ma is AMAZING at gift wrapping. Just throwing that out there.

**IMPORTANT!!: If your Paypal and Etsy address do not match, please convo us so that we know where to send your order. If no address is specified, we'll use your paypal address.

If the address in paypal is incorrect and the package is returned to us, there will be an additional shipping charge to have the item sent back out.**

**INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS!!**
If you are an International buyer, your order will be shipped with USPS First Class International Service (unless you specify otherwise). This does not include tracking and there is no guaranteed date of arrival by the Postal Service. However, if you feel your order is taking longer to arrive than it should, you can always let us know and we'll work out a way to resolve the situation.

You are responsible for any taxes or duties that your country may impose on your shipment, we do not check "gift" on the customs form under any circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.
Please also keep in mind that any customs or import fees are the responsibility of the Buyer.
