Announcement    Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop! All items are made by me in Vancouver, Washington.
Virus concerns: I am fully vaccinated. I also have limited public contact.

My drawer pulls are one of a kind, competitively priced, and similar, if not better than what you'd find at higher end home goods stores. Coming soon, I'll have some of my designs available with a threaded insert instead of a metal back and I am also developing handles to match the pulls with a 3 inch spread.

The jewelry holders are painted by me with a similar process involving layered paint, sanding, distressing and hand painted details. Most of my stencils are hand made by me from my own art or images that I love.

I hand build my sculptures using slabs of clay and hand sculpting techniques and then glaze before both firing stages. I brush on my glazes rather than dipping them, and use several brush strokes of different glazes to get the finish and layers that you see. My sculptures are unique works of art and an exceptional value. Lately, its been hard to keep the store stocked with more than drawer pulls, but if you are interested in something or want to commission a piece, I'm happy to work with you.

I also sell at several art shows and markets throughout the year in Oregon, Washington and Northern California. My sculptures can also be found at Marilyn Affolter Fine art in McMinnville, OR, Sidestreet Gallery (online shopping available) in Portland, OR and my jewelry holders, knobs and other items at Willamina Merchants in Willamina, OR.
Starting in 2021, I will be selling on the ramp at the Portland Saturday Market. We expect to open in April 17th, most likely with Covid restrictions still in place. There is an active gofundme happening to help us stay afloat.

Please note that I am a one woman shop. (but I am looking for an assistant) When you place an order from me I do my best to get it to you on time and pay special attention to detail and packaging. If your order is delayed, I will communicate with you and I am always happy to refund your purchase if you need it faster than I can process it.

Thank you for supporting my work!

Artist Statement

Hi! I've been a working artist since 2001. When I was 31 years old, I went through a personal transformation resulting in an intense desire to make art. Although I take part time jobs here and there, I spend the majority of my time in the studio, working towards the next show. My expressive work is influenced by vintage patterns, industrial elements and symbols of the universal need for connection. Everything I do, from jewelry holders, to every ceramic piece, has layers of color, which is how I see the world, both internal and external.
I own two kilns and a potters wheel and I am fortunate to have a home studio here in Vancouver, Wa, just 20 miles from Portland.
I also make my own stencils and use them in conjunction with my distressed, layered paint style. I use re-puposed wood frames and pallet wood. I use quality paint, prime surfaces that need it and everything is constructed to last, which is hard to find in the commercial market these days.
I also continue to construct animals for the home and garden and although I make many of the same items (such as cats, crows and badgers) each is individually sculpted and unique. All of my pieces are fired twice and I apply glaze before each firing so the end result is often a layer of underglaze, iron oxide, more underglaze and a cone six glaze on top of that.
I sell my work here on Etsy, at local fine art fairs and am featured in the small works gallery at Sidestreet Arts in Portland, Willamina Merchants and Marilyn Affolter Fine Art in McMinnville.

The spirit of Martin, the incredible fetch cat who left us too soon, permeates all of my work. He died of FIP when he was just 4.

  • Bethesda the great

    Assistant

The best little pistol that ever was. Bethesda grew up helping me in my studio and died in my arms at the age of 15- which was still too soon. Her constant love and independent spirit will always inspire my work.

  • Louis

    Assistant

Louis is the most affectionate and loving creature. His huge eyes and adorable snark influence my kitty sculptures.

  • Finn

    Assistant

The newest member of my family of furry muses, Finn reminds me that irreverence and cuteness go hand in hand when you ping pong through life. He's also proved himself an avid hunter and eater of rodents. I'm not sure if I'm proud or horrified.

He doesn't do much but he's the baby.

Additional policies and FAQs
All items are created by hand by me in my home studio.
Drawer pulls: "Why does it take so long?" you may ask. This is because I need to get you order in with a whole load of work in my kiln, so it takes a while to create that much work.

Please know that I have made considerable effort to portray the color and definition of my pieces, however computer monitors vary in how they display colors and what looks accurate here, may not look the same on other computers.
