If you are drawn towards art that is symbolic, dreamy, and luminous -- in a dark and delightful way -- then you have come to the right place.
My work has been described as
-- "where Lovecraft meets Poe",
-- "a delightful trip through the looking glass", and
-- "something from another world."
I handcraft each piece with obsessive detail from the inside out because my art is my passion.

A doll in process: there are several stages to creating my dolls. Here I am checking the dimensions of a jackalope doll.

One of my commissioned dolls in process. This was a blue-footed booby. Its body was fashioned to mimic natural lines.
I tend to see things a little differently
When you see things differently, this can earn you ostracism or derision. But if you are very lucky, that same unique perspective can be channeled into your art, opening doors to worlds previously unseen.
As a somber and lonely child, I would draw a world that suited me. Little pieces of pop culture I filed away as important markers, markers that developed into strong influences: The Addams Family and The Munsters, the fantastical narrative illustrations of Maurice Sendak and Edward Gorey, the paintings of Night Gallery, and Disney's The Haunted Mansion.
These days, I am blissfully surrounded by a world influenced by my vision. It is a delight to make real the snippets and dreams and stories that get caught in my mind: turning canvas into dreamscape, pairing impossible partners, sculpting a legion of unusual talismen.
Every day I am in my home studio, transforming paint and clay and fabric into new, magical curiosities. It's my pleasure to share them with you, and put my art out into the world where it is meant to take root and grow, on its own accord, changing the parameters of the familiar landscape.
