Announcement   Wombat & Poss is all about beautiful, simple and stylish clothing and accessories for babies and children that are earth-friendly and allow them to play. I hand-knit and sew each item in Canberra, Australia, using natural, earth-friendly fabrics and fibres.

My style is heavily influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design, but with an Australian twist. I adore fabrics and I'm always looking out for unique, colourful and vibrant designs to complement my range.

Thank you for visiting my shop! Let me know if I can be of assistance.

About

A stitch in time...

Hello, I'm Kylie!

I started knitting and sewing as a child, with my grand-mothers and aunties patiently teaching me how to knit, and my Mum trusting me with her much-used sewing machine. I started creating small toys and then sewing clothing as I got older. My interest in knitting was rekindled by my late mother-in-law who taught me how to produce wonderful cable patterns - after that, nothing could stop me!

Since then, I have enjoyed making clothing for my own children, who inspire me daily. Well designed, simple garments made from quality fabrics were the favourites that were worn over and over again and survived many many hours of tree climbing and exploring.

Good handmade clothing, like good food, relies on skill and quality materials. Quality is important to me and I make all of my items skilfully with great attention to detail using the best quality materials, so you can be assured of a great product.

I use natural fibres with an emphasis on organic and sustainable materials and low 'fabric' miles where possible - often a challenge in Australia! Fortunately we have a growing number of local fabric designers and some beautiful organic wool.

Thank you for visiting Wombat & Poss, feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. You can find me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/wombatandposs - "like" for news, updates and give-aways and you can see my work in progress;

Shipping
WHERE ARE ITEMS SHIPPING FROM?
I am based in and ship from Australia.

HOW ARE THEY SHIPPED?
Items are shipped by regular Australia Post air mail (both within Australia and Internationally). Registered, tracked or express post will cost extra - please let me know if you would like this option.

Note that International Express post can cost around $40-50.

DELIVERY TIMES
Delivery within Australia will usually take 2-3 business days - note that this can sometimes stretch to 2 weeks.

Delivery to overseas addresses will typically take between 3-10 business days, although sometimes delays of up to 4-8 weeks can occur.

Please factor these times in to your decision to purchase. While I can control the time taken to make/post, I cannot control how long an item takes in the post - this is in the hands of the postal service in your country.

Please ensure your address in Etsy/Paypal is correct.

DO YOU REFUND EXCESS POSTAGE?
Any excess postage and handling payment on items will be refunded.

HOW LONG BEFORE ITEMS ARE SHIPPED?
Most items in the shop are ready-to-ship (unless specified otherwise). If ready made, I will post them within 3-5 days of payment so you'll receive your lovely goodies promptly.

HOW IS MY ITEM WRAPPED? DO YOU OFFER GIFT WRAPPING?
I wrap all of my items beautifully (see an example on my About page). I am happy to include a gift card with your choice of words at no extra cost.

TAXES AND DUTIES
International customers, please note you are responsible for any taxes or duties associated with shipping to your country.

WHAT IF MY ITEM DOESN'T ARRIVE?
Firstly, I apologise if this does happen. It is rare for items not to arrive, and I can assure you that if you received a dispatch notification email, your item has definitely left my hands.

Given the potential time delays in shipping both within Australia and Internationally, please contact me within 2 weeks (Australia) or 3-4 weeks (International) if your item hasn't arrived and we can discuss options. Note that for International orders, items can sometimes take up to 8 weeks to arrive.
Refunds and Exchanges
I make my items professionally with care and take pride in the quality of my finished products. If there is an issue with any of my items, please contact me within 3 weeks of receipt and we can discuss.
