Inigo Montoya has traveled to his new home in Kansas, where he is treasured for his swashbuckling greatness and for avenging his father, despite mortal wounds. Thank you so much, Ann, for this glorious stuffie!

The weird, the wonderful, the one of a kind.

Four years ago, I co-founded WonderStrange Arts with my fellow artist and bestest pal Sarah Trumpp (she's on the left; I'm on the right), planning to sell canvases, functional art, and assemblage work online. After the first year, I expanded my work to include original crochet designs, which now make up about half of my business. No matter what I'm making, I love to draw on history, literature, and pop culture, with a special focus on sci fi and horror. It makes me especially happy to give new life to old, neglected things I find in thrift shops across Central Indiana, for example, by turning chipped, damaged vintage egg cups into Big Lebowski characters, or by sculpting Star Wars cantina creatures on top of an old wooden bar set.

In 2013, we decided to incorporate Etsy shops into our overall business plan. We really enjoy selling here, which has given us the chance to meet all kinds of great new customers!

Welcome to WonderAnn, where you'll find original crocheted creations and patterns from all corners of pop culture, plus canvases, collage pieces, and a wide array of functional artwork, from altered salt and pepper shakers to organizers made from vintage books.

WonderAnn is an Etsy arm of WonderStrange Arts, a small band of artists who have been making and selling art together for the past three years online. You can find our collaborative projects on Etsy in the wonderstrange shop, and our bloggity musings, drawings, and acid dreams on www.wonderstrange.com.

You know. Except without the acid.
