Why won't you accept returns or exchanges?

As a general rule, I won't accept returns or exchanges, although I will consider each situation on a case by case basis. Some of my products are customised to your specifications, so I can't afford the loss to my business to have it returned without justifiable reason. This is especially true for customised stationery - this has the address and name of the person you specified on it, so it is useless to everyone else in the world! If, however, I have not provided you with what you ordered, or what I have provided is faulty in some way, then of course I will replace the item!

In the rare case that you will refund an order, how will it work?

Refunds granted that are NOT as a result of my error will be refunded at product price LESS shipping costs. I will provide an actual shipped cost value at the time of agreement to refund. If any of my shipping is listed by Etsy as 'free', it would be more accurate to say the price includes shipping. Shipping is often a large proportion of my costs, so if I have posted your product, then these third party costs are non-refundable.
If a refund has been agreed, then the product must be returned to me in original condition (at the buyers expense) within 30 days before a refund will be issued.

What's up with the shipping? Tracking/Speed/Customs

I ship from Australia using Australia Post. Once a shipped item travels internationally, then the shipping services will be taken over by your usual government organised postal services.
Buyers will be liable for any and all import duties, taxes & fees that are applicable for your country, as well as doing what is necessary to release the product from any customs hold.
Once an order has been entrusted to a postal service for shipping, I am no longer liable for any delays, loss or damage that may occur in transit. Upgrades to tracked shipping are available on all listings and may provide a more comfortable shipping experience. However, if you have any issues with how your product arrives, please do contact me & I'll do what I can to help.

I bought an item with shipping included, so why are you asking for more money to cover Shipping???

I hope I never have to do this! I have done my best to include shipping costs in the item prices, however I cannot predict every possible shipping scenario. If a product has been purchased where the shipping is substantially higher then I have accounted for, then I will contact you, explain the situation, and offer you a revised (additional) shipping cost to fulfil your order, or the opportunity to cancel the order instead.

My order has gone missing in the post - what are you going to do about it?

I will do my best to track it down (which will be easier if you purchase a shipping upgrade so there is tracking available!), but it may be a lost cause. I will still do what I can to recover the parcel or obtain any insurance payout for the loss so I can refund your order. But if a third party has lost your order, then I am not liable for that loss. If you can get restitution from your local postal service, then that would be something you will need to organise.
I might also be able to replace your order, but I probably will have to request payment for the extra shipping costs. But we can discuss that all in a conversation if the unfortunate occurs - just send me a message. :)
