Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts. All created to hang on the wall, beautiful and unique gifts.
Handmade ceramic art, with graphic designs etched into the surfaces. I accidentally discovered clay in 2000 as a teacher and now it is my passion.
I am a high school art teacher who has been teaching ceramics/sculpture and AP psychology for that last 15 years. I have a double major, a BA in psychology and a BFA. Sooooo….my original plan was art therapy but after working in the public school system as a special education assistant I fell in love with teaching and believe it or not teenagers are amazing, creative, interesting, sometimes volatile creatures which just adds to the excitement of my profession.
So teaching has been my focus and my art has not been until recently. I reclaimed a space below my deck as my studio last summer which has renewed my love for playing with dirt (clay). At every opportunity I am in my studio, playing, creating, experimenting - with no fear! Love it!!! So this shop represents the culmination of this summers works, what I have learnt over the years of teaching ceramics and sculpture and evolution of what is to come.
