The story of my love for art + painting is actually a fairly short + sweet one. So, no need to fasten your seat belts... It won't be too much of a bumpy ride.
As long as I can remember, I've always been a doodler. Not so much an artist, but a doodler. You should have seen my notebooks + binders + planners all throughout school. Absolutely covered in flowers + swirls + ridiculous quotes from the jonas brothers. It wasn't until fairly recently that I actually thought about experimenting outside the doodling world.
My Woodland Coasters story starts in the summer of 2014, when we were invited to an International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Maryland. What an awesome surprise!
To make it special, my friends had the idea of making little wood keychains for the delegates visiting from all around the world.
As my brother cut different sized branches of wood from our backyard, he yells out, "Man, this wood would be the perfect size for some coasters!"
The lightbulb went off. 💡
And the rest is history.
Many weddings + graduation parties later, giving these coasters as gifts, I decided to make a little business out of it. And here I am!
All of my pieces are made with lots of love with inspiration from the beauty of creation... to the beauty of God’s Word, the Bible.
I have been absolutely loving meeting + creating things for my brothers + sisters from all over the country! It's been really amazing.
