Our shop started out as a way for two busy professionals to ease into a life more focused on quality time with family and less focused on stress!

From the very beginning we knew that Glenn could build beautiful wood products. He'd spent years building coffee tables and cutting boards for family members. Then he switched his attention to raising money for his charity road-hockey team (as part of Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer) selling his "classic" beer totes to friends and colleagues to raise money for cancer research. Everyone loved them and we thought to ourselves, "Could we actually do this?". So near the end of 2018 we slowly put a few listings up on Etsy to dip our toes into the water and "see how this online business thingy actually works".

Then in late 2019, the stress of two busy jobs was just too much and we made the difficult decision to give up some job security in exchange for entrepreneurship. The funny thing is, we probably work just as much (sometimes even more), but we're much happier now! The trick was two-fold. One, we're now working on our own business which we really love. And two, we're also focused on making other people happy! Even though we're really nice people (or so we've been told), in our other jobs we were always perceived as the "bad guys"....having to say "no" a budget request or increase project costs, and it always felt horrible. Now, we're finally able to say "YES"! Can you make me a custom piece ...."Yes!" Can I add engraving to this box..."For sure!" Can you get a gift here before Christmas....."Absolutely!"

So here's a big thank you to all our customers who have made us happy by letting us into your lives, even for just a moment. And an even bigger thank you for all the kind words, photos and personal comments that you have sent us in return. We love being a part of your special moments!
