Gorgeous paprika color, very nice thickness and very warm and well made! I will need to get another pair, I can tell already. They fit very well except that they are a bit too tight in the calf/ankle. I am stretching the bottom part over a jar to see if I can make them a bit wider.

Ordered the swatches, and it was just what I needed to create my order. The colors are beautiful, and feeling them made all the difference in making my choice. I opted for two colors in the same piece, because I couldn’t make up my mind! Which will be super cool, and totally custom. They’re such beautiful fabrics, all of them. Can’t wait to see my finished piece! :D

Very soft, and they fit really well! They shortened the legs for me and the inseam is perfect now👌

Perfect pants! I live in these from late fall to early spring. I love that I can wear them snowshoeing during the day, then swap with a dressier top and boots for a dinner out. But mostly I love how they keep my legs warm & toasty during our cold winters. I have the med and heavy weight, and switch off depending on temps. Beautiful wool fabric and beautifully made. Thank you Kate!
The Evolution of Woolen Moss
Wanting to do something more meaningful and sustainable after years of sewing for the high end home interior industry, I established Woolen Moss in 2009. I began by making clothing from all natural materials for myself and realized I could do the same for others through Etsy.
My love of wool goods began with the start of Woolen Moss Farm in 2006. Though I raised my own sheep, and grew my own dye plants. I could not do it all. But my end goals stayed the same, and so a pursuit of relationships with other textile producers and famers, sourcing only high quality, ethically raised and sustainably produced wool fabrics for my clothing became the new reality.
Today Woolen Moss continues to be a small operation, turning out made to order high quality woolen clothing. Take good care of yourself, be kind to your body and move with ease in your new Woolen Moss clothing. No frills. Just warmth and softness. Utility and style.

Hello, and welcome to Woolen Moss! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll find just the right piece of clothing right here. All of my items are made to order. Please specify size according to the chart or provide measurements for your unique body size and shape.
All of my clothing is made from either merino wool or an organic cotton/bamboo blend. The merino wool is fabulously soft and available in a heavy weight, a mid weight fabric, or a light weight fabric. If cared for properly, your garments could last a lifetime and therefore add to the cycle of waste as little as possible. Take good care of yourself and your clothing too!
When ordering, a general size can be chosen from the chart listed with each item, but more specific measurements will ensure the best fit. The following is a list of measurements and how to take them:
HEIGHT ~ head to toe
BUST ~ at the widest point, over your bra, not your bra size
WAIST ~ just above the hip bones, or where you like your garment to rest
HIPS ~ the widest point
INSEAM ~ from the crotch seam to the bottom hem
ARM ~ from the shoulder seam to your wrist hem
BICEP ~ around your upper arm
SHOULDER ~ shoulder to shoulder across your back
MULTIPLE ITEM ORDERS
Most of my pieces can be ordered in multiples, or in different colors unless I specify something is one-of-a-kind. Shipping is automatically discounted upon checkout.
Accepted payment methods
Returns & exchanges
Certain states are now charging sales tax for online sales. If appropriate, this will be added at checkout.
I ship all items USPS First Class or Priority depending on package weight. It usually takes 2-5 business days within the US, and any where from 5-15 business days internationally (depending on your customs procedures). If you need something sooner, contact me and generally we can work something out.
Each package comes with $50 insurance. Once the package has safely left my hands, and been checked into the post office, any shipment and delivery issues should be taken up with your local USPS office. Please see your local office on how to file a claim in the case of a lost package.
I ship world-wide. Please note that all taxes, duties and customs fees associated with international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
