The Evolution of Woolen Moss

Wanting to do something more meaningful and sustainable after years of sewing for the high end home interior industry, I established Woolen Moss in 2009. I began by making clothing from all natural materials for myself and realized I could do the same for others through Etsy.

My love of wool goods began with the start of Woolen Moss Farm in 2006. Though I raised my own sheep and grew my own dye plants, I could not do it all. So I shifted to a pursuit of relationships with other textile producers and farmers, sourcing only high quality, ethically raised and sustainably produced fabrics for my clothing. I'm now just responsible for the designing, cutting and sewing of these wool and organic cotton clothes for you.

Today Woolen Moss continues to be a small operation, turning out made to order high quality woolen clothing. Take good care of yourself, be kind to your body and move with ease in your new Woolen Moss clothing. No frills. Just warmth and softness. Utility and style.

I was raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania, dreaming, drawing, making, and building. I chased those ideas through the mountains of Virginia then Colorado, where I completed my sculpture degree. I landed in upstate New York where Woolen Moss began.
