Thank you for taking the time to look at the items I am selling. I love to play with wool but there are not enough hours in the day to spin and knit it all. If I sell some it means that I have more opportunities to play with colour without developing a mountainous stash. I have a dog and a small boy and they are both kept away from the fibre. We don't smoke and I'm paranoid about m@ths.

I am a spinner, weaver and knitter and with those I know what I'm doing. Felting is outside my skill set, if you're buying fibre for that purpose you can take it that you know more about it than I do.


I live in the UK so you if you do too you can pay me by sterling bank transfer or sterling cheques or PO. Other payment methods are Paypal or folding dollars or euros, basically if I can spend it then I'll take it. Depending on what time of year it is I may be accepting Amazon vouchers too - ask me about this one.

Following from the Royal Mail price rises in April 2013 I am now posting all UK packages by second class mail. If you want the security of recorded delivery or the speed of first class post please ask me to create a custom listing for you with the correct postage cost. I don't set out to make money on the postage, if I can send it cheaper I will and I'll refund you the saving.

The cost of overseas combined postage is a bit of a guessing game because the weight bands are smaller and I don't have standard weight items. If I've overcharged you by more than 20p I will refund it.

Refunds and Exchanges

I always get proof of postage and will replace anything that gets lost in transit. I appreciate that colours are a problem when buying at a distance, if you open the packet and find a nasty surprise then I'll refund the goods cost if you return it in good condition. If you are in the EU then (as you are no doubt aware) you have a 14 day cooling off period with all distance sales during which you can cancel and return your purchases, please note that the return postage would be at your expense.

Additional Policies and FAQs

I'm happy to do custom dyeing and I can dye much bigger lots than 100g so if you were wanting something for a larger project feel free to ask me about it. I should declare that I have issues with red, both dyeing it and photographing it, so if the fibre of your dreams is red then you'd best ask elsewhere.

I'm happy to spin fibre into yarn for you, I'd rather not spin laceweight or three ply sock yarn because it's such a huge time commitment. That's not to say I won't do it but you'd better be sitting down when I tell you how much it will cost you.

Seller Information

Should you want my full name, address or those other things you can ask for under the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 then by all means ask but I'm not putting them here. My business address is where I live and I get more than enough junk mail as it is.
