About

Working with fiber brings peace and allows her to soul to sing.

I learned to crochet many years ago, then I learned to knit. From there it was a slippery slope on a wonderful sleigh ride.

Natural animal fiber feels so wonderful to me. As I learn more about the healthy benefits of touching and wearing animal fibers, i want to share them with anyone that is willing to be receptive of them.

Welcome, I hope you enjoy the items I have listed. Some of the fiber items are made from our Churro sheep, our angora rabbits, or my mother in law's alpaca and llama. Some are even completely hand processed from the shearing to the finished product! I don't use acid dyes due to the chemicals involved; I feel that dyes dull the feel of the natural fiber, stripping it of softness, and warmth. A whole lot of love has gone into every step of the process. Enjoy!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the alpaca and the organic merino wool?

Alpaca is fuzzier, warmer and a bit heavier than the wool. The wool is coarser, and a more structural. I have two thickness of the organic, merino wool that can be used. Sport weight and fingering weight. The sport is thicker and heavier, it is also a bit thicker than the alpaca. The fingering weight is lighter and thinner than both the alpaca and the sport weight wool. The color choices in the listings' photos only show the natural alpaca colors.

The wool comes in unbleached ivory white. I usually have some dyed with black walnut husks (organically grown on our farm). Please ask to see the shades of brown that are available.

What is the turn around time?

I will usually be able to make items in 2-3 weeks. Smaller, and simpler items will take less time. During the fall and early winter the turn around time can be longer.

Why wear all natural clothing?

All natural clothing is better for you and the world we live in. There are many health benefits to wearing wool clothes. Animal fiber helps to reduce stress, helps circulation among other benefits. Since there are no dyes used in these clothes, there are no added chemicals to put on your skin (the largest organ of our bodies) and none added to the environment. Be kind to yourself and the earth.... wear natural clothing.
