Additional policies and FAQs

All Woollywotnots’ collectables are made in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Most items are made to order, please contact me if you'd prefer a specific colour.

I use the finest, new yarns, such as Rowan, Mirasol, Araucania, Noro, Debbie Bliss and Louise Harding. New organic cotton is grown in an environmentally and socially responsible way without the use of chemical and pesticides and fertilisers. It is fully certified by bioRe. Each batch of cotton we use can be traced back through the bioRe foundation, the whole organic farming community, funding mobile health units, malaria prevention, and schooling for children and hand pumps for drinking water. bioRe outlaws child labour, regulates working hours and sets a minimum wage. bioRe also guarantees to buy the farmers cotton for 5 consecutive years at 20% above the standard price paid for non organic cotton. The organic yarn used is dyed using natural dyes which produce no toxic effluent.

Knitted collectables are stuffed with a high grade carded polyester filling which conforms to British standards: cleanliness BS 1425 and fire safety BS 5852. It is a suitable component of articles requiring BS 5665 and the European standard EN71 and those required to carry the CE logo. Our collectable gifts are not suitable as a children’s toy.

All the knitted collectables are measured in centimetres, cm. If you would like to convert this to inches, visit onlineconversion http://www.onlineconversion.com/length_common.htm

All the knitted collectables are carefully gift wrapped in clean, crisp cyan-azure tissue paper; which is colour fast, so it won’t damage the goods. This is ideal for delicate Woollywotnots’ gifts. The package is tied with matching coloured raffia and sealed with a Woollywotnots sticker. Care instructions are also provided when applicable and a little thank you from Woollywotnots.
Your order will then be sent in padded envelopes or boxes; whichever is most appropriate to ensure the item is protected.
