Little Shop of Homemade Horrors; featuring poseable art dolls, soft sculpture and other weird and wonderful collectibles by Worms and Bones.

Our horrors are made by hand with high quality materials. We do our best to marry engineering, aesthetic and durability to make critters that you'll have for a lifetime. Homemade horrors have been used for stop motion animations, as shoulder-sitters/familiars in convention and larp settings, for ball-joint doll photo shoots, and as cherished art objects. We're confident that our designs are as hardy as they are unique: all our cast horrors come with a lifetime guarantee.

Even down to their smallest dolls the quality and skill is falls nothing short of amazing. I adore this little one, they have made a great companion for my Voodoo and also myself when going out from time to time. Thank you W&B! <3

Welcome to Worms and Bones' corner of Etsy! We're a pair of Canadian illustrator/artists who do a little bit of everything, although our handmade poseable soft sculptures and art dolls called Homemade Horrors are our main focus.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
Due to non-payment issues via snail mail, we can only accept paypal payments. Payments must be made in Canadian dollars.

On higher price-point monsters, we do occasionally accept payment plans. For the most part however, we prefer not to go this route as it incurs extra fees and takes longer. Please drop us a line to discuss this as possibility.
Shipping
Shipping in Canada includes a tracking number. International shipping (outside Canada) does not include a tracking number, as it is considerably more expensive and we try to keep shipping costs down as much as possible. We do send everything via air mail, which for most US & International destinations has an arrival estimate of between 5 and 7 business days. Unless you're in Canada, once an item is shipped, we can't offer you more info. than that.

If you have a specific deadline by which you need the monster, please drop us a line with the date and we can get you a quote for expedited shipping.

Please note packages do occasionally get held up at customs. We have no control over this unfortunately. Having had this happen a couple of times now we ask you please give your homemade horror a full 8 weeks to arrive. If after this time it hasn't appeared, please do let us know and we'll do our best to make it right.

We do not mark items as gifts, or falsify value. Any additional customs/duty charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Purchased items ship out within 7 days of payment's clearance.

We do not ship to non-residential addresses. Due to fraud we've experienced in the past, we reserve the right to request that you upgrade to tracked shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
We do not offer refunds. That said, if you have any concerns with your homemade horror, please send us an email and we'll try and make it right.
Additional policies and FAQs
FAQS:
Q: Where do you get _____?
A: We don't offer a list of our suppliers, sorry! Most of our materials are ordered wholesale anyway, and minimum orders start at four figures.

Q: I want to make my own art doll. Can you tell me how?
A: Trust me, you don't want this. The answer you're looking for is no fun, and can be summed up with: keep trying. Everything we've done has been through trial and error (after a pair of expensive BAs). There are some pretty awesome tutorials out there already so I hear, we just prefer to spend our time makin' the actual monsters rather than trying to make tutorials.

Q: Can you make my character?
A: Totally. We haven't met the monster we couldn't make. Unless your character is something we have a cast of however, that would count as a commission which we are only open for very occasionally.

Q: Can you make a wolf/bat/voodoo/dragon/drat in specific colours?
A: Absolutely! Drop us a line at wormsandbones [!at] gmail.com and let us know what colours you're after.

Q: How durable are your cast horrors?
A: Very. As with any art however, they are meant to be taken care of. This means keeping them out of the wood chipper is probably for the best. A drop now and then won't hurt them, and you can reposition them as often as you like without worrying about breakage, but avoid scraping them against hard or rough surfaces as this can damage the sealant and eventually the paint. Think about 'em like a car's paint job: yes its durable, but no its not impervious to all harm.
That said, if you ever have any issues with our cast horrors, we're always happy to do repairs free of charge.

Q: I'd like to offer Homemade Horrors in my retail store/gallery.
A: Cool! Drop us a line and let us know what you're after specifically.
