Founded in Chicago, Wrightwood Candle Company is a Denver-based candle company owned & operated by Hannah Perri. Wrightwood Candle Company creates eco-friendly, clean burning, and sustainable artisan crafted soy-coconut candles.

Our candles are made in reusable containers with lead-free braided cotton or untreated wood wicks. They contain no dyes and are phthalate free.

All of our candles are made in small batches and hand poured the old fashioned way to guarantee quality.

We hand picked our scents from premium grade fragrances infused with essential oils. Each scent is created with natural extracts from fruits, herbs, flowers and spices, and will make your space smell exceptional!

Why is there fogging on the side of my candle? Is that normal?

Yes! Those are called "wet spots" and they are totally normal and sometimes unavoidable.

The spots are caused by shrinkage and air bubbles that occur as the wax is cooling inside the container. Part of the wax pulls away from the glassware and sticks to the container giving it this particular look.

They can also occur while a candle is going through changes in air temperature i.e. during transit from us to you :) Wet spots in NO way affect the burnability of the candle.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Why soy-coconut wax?

Soy-coconut wax is incredibly natural and clean burning. Our wax holds a higher volume of fragrance than other natural waxes and does not hinder the true notes of a fragrance. Our blend also provides a creamy white candle with excellent look and texture.

Don't worry - our candles don't smell like coconuts :)

Are your candles vegan?

Unfortunately, our candles are not vegan. Although they are mostly soy-coconut wax, there are trace amounts of beeswax in our candles, which means they cannot be considered vegan. We are considering experimenting with a vegan soy-coconut wax at some point though.

What's the best way to remove the leftover candle wax & re-purpose my candle jar/tin?

Fill a pot with hot water and place your candle in to melt the leftover wax. Pour the melted wax into a heat safe container and discard. Careful - the candle will be hot! Clean your container thoroughly with soap and hot water. You can also place your cooled candle in the freezer and chill it for 30 minutes. Once the wax hardens, it should pop out and can be thrown away.
