About

Thanks for checking out Written Paper Goods!

I’m Emily Mullen, the artist and writer behind the brand. In the spring of 2016, I left my job as a writer+editor and founded WPG in the hopes of building a successful business out of my love of stationery, a mild obsession with penmanship, and a whole lot of hard work.

All of my cards and prints are 100% dreamt up, handwritten, designed, and packaged by me -- the only part of the process I'm not involved in is the printing. For that, I rely on a small printing company in California (simply because I'm not yet at a stage where I can afford a high-quality printer). All cards are digitally printed on 100% PCW recycled card stock. (And FYI, unless a quotation is noted, all wording is my own, straight from the heart.)

I hope you like what you see. I have big dreams for Written Paper Goods, and I'm just getting started. There will be a lot of experiments along the way, so be sure to visit the shop often to see what's new.

To come along on the journey, follow @WrittenPaperGoods on Instagram, and visit writtenpapergoods.com to sign up for my newsletter.

Back when I worked at a local stationery shop, I worked with this company often - but it wasn't until a wedding invitation designer recommended them that I realized what a great fit they'd be. I'm excited to see what we create together!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I'd love to make something special for you! Drop me a line at writtenpapergoods@gmail.com and we'll work something out.

Shipping and packaging

Your purchase will be sent to you in a padded envelope. There will also be a piece of cardboard in the envelope, in an effort to prevent the item from being bent while in transit. (The cardboard will give you a peek into which beers I drink… #reducereuserecycle)

Regardless of the shipping method you select, I will email you once your purchase has been mailed, to give you an estimated delivery time. If you opt for Priority Mail or another expedited option, I will include the tracking number in that email.

Please note that I am not responsible if your purchase gets damaged or lost in the mail.

I will fill your order as quickly as I can; however, it may take up to 3 days to process (not including shipping time).

Variations in appearance

If you have ordered a handmade card, please remember that it is exactly that: handwritten, handmade, and unique! There will be minor variances in the spacing, size and style of the letters. I work hard to ensure that everything I sell measures up to my own irritatingly high standards — you should see the pile of cards that don’t make the cut!

To sum up: No two handwritten pieces can be identical. All sales are final.

That said, PLEASE contact me if there is any problem at all with your order, and I'll be happy to find a way to make it right.

Just shoot me an email at writtenpapergoods@gmail.com.

International availability

At this time, I am not accepting international orders. If this disappoints you, please shoot me an email and let me know! I will certainly add this option if there is demand. Thank you for your interest, it means the world to me.

Wholesale availability

If you're buying for your shop, I'd love to work with you! Just shoot me an email at writtenpapergoods@gmail.com and I'll send you more info.
