About studiowunschbrunnen

Make a wish for something that fits for a long time. Sustainable and fair.

According to this motto, Wunschbrunnen makes baby and children's clothing. All products are handmade and are designed and sewn in the in-house studio in Neckargemünd. Each part has been subjected to the absolute endurance test in the last 2.5 years by our two robbers Linus and Matti* – whether as a toddler, freshly baked runner or big forest child, in kindergarten or on adventure trails. For this reason, I only process hard-wearing, everyday fabrics in fair trade and controlled organic quality that are popular with children.

The sizes range from newborn age (50/56) to school age (122/128). Sustainability has top priority at Wunschbrunnen. The clothing fits up to three sizes long thanks to extra-long cuffs on the arms and legs and well thought-out cuts and can then be easily passed on to siblings or friends.

The "Wish you something principle" is a kind of construction kit of different fabrics, colors and motifs, which I combine again and again, so that everyone can find their favorite piece. A good overview of how the individual garments can be put together with each other is provided by the "Wish you something packages".

I have selected the fabrics used to the best of my knowledge and belief. They are untreated and free of chemical equipment or in organic quality (kbA, Ökotex 100) and/or GOTS certified. Some fabrics are even hand-woven and get their robustness through their weaving technique (e.B. cross-body). Here I trust in the statements of my fabric suppliers, who only sell fair trade fabrics. Child labour is also taboo.

By the way, the inspiration for the screen print motifs was provided to me by our children. This is how the idea for the "Monstaaa" was born by Linus, who had repeatedly painted a wide variety of monsters from his color monster book. Matti, on the other hand, as a big (E)ulen fan (he could not pronounce the word owl correctly at the age of 1.5 and called it "Ule") condemned us to study every single owl in his book in detail. Of course, this "knowledge" had to be used. This is how the (E)ule was created.

The screen printing ink to be processed is water-based, 100% pollutant-free, vegan & produced according to Ökotex 100. All screen prints are made by myself in my screen printing cellar. Panda, (E)ule, Monstaaa and Grizzly feel very comfortable here. And who knows what else will be added. Our guys definitely already have a lot of new ideas!

*My thanks also go to all other children from the family and friends who were also allowed or had to test for years ;)
Augustin, Charlotte, Emil, Isabella, Jan, Jonna, Julius, Juna, Laurin, Leonard, Lieselotte, Lili, Joscha, Malte, Mio E., Mio R. and Tilda. Thank you, dear ones! Without you and the feedback of your parents, none of this would have been possible.
