Announcement    Welcome to my little shop of treasures. I began selling my art on Etsy around 2006. In 2013, I was diagnosed with stage IV head & neck cancer. It was quite a battle but led me to fulfill my dream of painting large-scale abstract art. I no longer sell my art on Etsy due to contractual agreements with galleries. My older work is licensed and can be found online through art.com and other sites. While I'm waiting on paint to dry, I love to make jewelry. Over the years, I've amassed a unique collection of beads, vintage finds, and art supplies. I can't wait to share them with you. On occasion, my one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces will be available. ❤️ And you can sign up for my online artist workshops here! You can find more about me at http://www.wyanne.com

On Etsy since 2006

happy art for happitastical beings

I've been selling my art online for over 14 years! Etsy wasn't even around back then. I owned two art galleries in Atlanta at the time...and quickly learned that the Internet provided worldwide exposure instead of just local foot traffic. Eventually...I moved my galleries entirely online. Allowing me to work from home and do what I love everyday. I joined Etsy in 2006 and it has been the icing on my cake!

My day starts early in the studio. I answer emails and prepare shipments. I make a point to paint everyday...no matter how busy things are. My first love is watercolor...but I tend to use a wide variety of mixed media in my work. And even branch out to acrylic and oil from time to time. My paintings are whimsical and fun. I love to create art that makes people smile.

Sometimes when the paint is drying...I create jewelry. I studied jewelry design and metalsmithing for 6 years with a master designer from Neiman Marcus. I'm obsessed with natural gemstones and the positive energy that they hold. Jewelry is much more technical and rigid and provides a nice balance with the whimsical nature of my paintings.

I also teach online art classes and workshops from time to time. My art is licensed by Natural Life and several greeting card companies.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with stage 4 tongue cancer. As a non-smoker, infrequent drinker, and healthy eater...I was shocked. I went through a radical 13 hour surgery, chemo, and radiation. It was devastatingly hard and changed my life forever. But, with everything there are gifts to be had. I took 6 months off from painting and Etsy to recover. It taught me a great deal and when I returned to painting, my art changed. It became happier, more whimsical, and carefree. I feel I'm creating at my best now! And I'm thrilled to say I'm cancer free currently!

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today. If I can answer any questions, please email me anytime.

Much love,
Wyanne

I have the best job in the world! I love what I do! I create happy, whimsical, colorful paintings . And when I'm not painting or waiting for the paint to dry...I make jewelry. It's a great balance of the mediums and keeps me sane! ♥
