Announcement    BREXIT : Shipping to the EU Temporarily Suspended.

I would like to offer my very sincere apologies to all of my fabulous customers in the EU. I have made the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend postage to Europe while I take some advice and make sure that I am ticking all the right boxes now that Brexit is in full effect.
Obviously this is very frustrating but the sad truth is, as a micro business and sole trader I have no idea what I am doing as regards the new rules.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to reserve any items from my online shops while I try to figure things out.
Once again, I'm so sorry about this. I still see myself and my business as European and this is really difficult to get my head around - but get my head around it I will and normal service will hopefully be resumed as soon as possible.

SHIPPING
Every parcel I send out, anywhere in the world will be individually packaged with care and attention. I don't include any billing information inside the parcel and most items include gift packaging. I can even send items to your gift recipients with a message from you if you would like.

As well as ensuring that your items arrive with you safely and at the lowest possible cost, I also do my best to re-use packaging and keep plastic to a minimum. You will always find my "Re-used" stamp somewhere on your parcel.

Pricing
I use Royal Mail as my carrier and my shipping prices reflect the current rates plus a very small charge for packaging. My standard shipping method is First Class Standard but there is an option for Tracked and Signed for at an extra cost.

Import VAT and other costs.
If you are a customer from outside the UK then you probably already know that buying goods from abroad can sometimes result in additional taxes and duty being charged when your lovely things arrive in your country.

Import limits and rates charged vary from country to country, some US states have additional taxes applied to purchases. Please familiarise yourself with your country's charges before completing your purchase as I can't take any responsibility for any charges incurred.

Eu Customers and Brexit
IMPORTANT : The UK has now left the European Union. If you are a customer in the EU then you are currently charged IMPORT VAT on goods you purchase from non-eu countries that are valued over €22. From January 1st this also applies to goods bought from us here in the UK. (This will change again when the new Eu 2021 Ecommerce Vat Packaged is Launched on July 1st and the €22 threshold is scrapped).
Please be aware of this change if you are making your first UK purchase since Brexit as you may be subject to unexpected charges when your parcel arrives

COVID-19 : I am still open but please read my updates.

As we all adjust to our altered way of life, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to you for your continued custom at this very strange time. I am working really hard to create new products to help your time at home pass more pleasantly so please do watch this space and follow my social media for the latest updates.

As a home based business, social distancing is my standard practice and hygiene is always important with handmade items so it’s almost business as usual here at Wychbury Designs.

I only use Royal Mail for my shipping and their latest updates on COVID 19 can be read here : https://www.royalmail.com/coronavirus

I am currently using mailboxes as much as possible to avoid the post office. For parcels too big for the mailbox I am visiting the Post Office once a week so please bear this in mind when ordering as your delivery time may be affected.

Stay safe everyone and my very best wishes

About WychburyDesignsUK

Buttons and patches and the cold wind blowing, the days pass quickly when I am sewing.

Welcome to Wychbury Designs, I'm Paula Perrins and I have been working as a designer-maker since 2004. Originally from Kidderminster I moved to West Yorkshire in 1994 and now live and work in Bingley, a small but perfectly formed town in the beautiful Aire Valley. This area is steeped in a rich history of textiles and industry with Sir Titus Salt's model village and World Heritage Site, Saltaire at its heart.

All of my pieces are individually designed and handmade by me in my workshop - or anywhere in my home I feel like! My work is inspired by my love of fabrics and sewing and my fascination with historical domesticity, the bygone age when ladies wore hats and gloves, when we threw much less away and when women's skills with a needle and thread sustained comfort and beauty in the home.I love to work with silk flowers, vintage buttons, lace trims and all forms of haberdashery to make my collections of wearable pincushions, floral accessories and jewellery with the nostalgic, romantic feel of days gone by.
