Experienced a significant delay in delivery, though seller did alert me to this after I made the transaction. I was surprised when she didn't spring for express shipping to offset the inconvenience. The item was a gift and the recipient liked it.

Thank you for visiting my shop! Being an artist is truly my calling. I love creating beautiful things. And I love it when others want to have the beauty I create in their lives. Whether you are buying a little ten dollar star or a lamp for a hundred dollars, I want you to be happy with your purchase. So below you will find the details of my commitment to you.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
I accept PayPal. You can use PayPal to pay with any major credit card even if you don’t have a PayPal account.

If you are unfamiliar with the process of paying using PayPal, here is a step by step instructions from the Etsy help files.

Payment is expected at the time of purchase. After 3 days of non-payment or communication, I will cancel the transaction and leave negative feedback per Etsy's Terms of Use.
Shipping
I aim to ship within a day or two of receiving an order. In any case you will get an email from me confirming your order and stating when it will be shipped.

I ship via USPS First Class Mail. Insurance is included on orders over $50. If you wish to have delivery confirmation or insurance on smaller orders, let me know.

Also convo me if you need overnight or 2 day delivery and I will send you an invoice for the extra shipping costs.

All orders are packaged securely. The lamps are wrapped in bubble wrap and nested in a box of bio-degradable peanuts. They ship very well. Please note that some lamps require oversize boxes. Be aware that the shipping charges on those items can be significantly greater. I have tried to clearly identify those larger items and have adjusted the shipping costs accordingly. They are usually the lamps with large branches.

If you have any other questions or requests regarding shipping, please convo me.
Refunds and Exchanges
As stated above, I want you to be happy with your purchase. So, if for any reason you are dissatisfied, let me know. I will do my utmost to rectify the situation up to, and including, a refund or exchange. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

If there is any damage or loss in shipping I will, again, do my utmost to rectify the situation.
Additional policies and FAQs
I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please allow me the opportunity to resolve any issues with our transaction before leaving feedback. Most problems can be solved with a little communication.

My products are not allergen-free. I use many materials that have come directly from the wild out-of-doors. These materials likely harbor molds and other allergens. I also have three cats and a dog who roam my studio.

FAQs

***Doesn’t the light get too hot for the paper?

The lamp is lit with a 4 to 5 watt night light bulb. The bulb itself never gets so hot that you can’t touch it. And I always design the lamps with an open top for the heat to escape.

***How do you clean the lamp?

Just dust lightly with a feather duster.

***Where can I get replacement bulbs for the lamp?

The bulbs are readily available at any store that sells light bulbs. They are 4 watt night light bulbs.

***Can the lamp be left outside or put in a bathroom?

The lamps are okay outside only if they are under a roof and they are fine in a bathroom as long as they don’t get wet (dampness and steam are okay.)

***What happens if the paper gets wet?

The exterior of the lamp is sealed with an acrylic medium making it water resistant but the inside is unsealed. If water gets on the inside of the lamp it will most likely distort the paper. The lamp will still be functional but it will probably look different.

***Can I put a candle in it instead of the light fixture?

NO!!!

***Can the lamp be left on all the time?

YES!! In fact they really like to be left on all the time. I have several that have been lit for years and they are as happy as the day I created them.

***What inspired you to make these? Where did the idea come from?

When I was a kid my mother had a piece of Japanese paper that had leaves in it. I just loved that paper and never have forgotten about it. Then a few years ago I saw the work of Barbara Glenn who was making dwellings out of paper and twigs and a light went on -- both figuratively and actually. I combined the two ideas and Lamps with Soul were born.

Convo me if you have any other questions.
