Sustainability, one toy at a time.
This year I’ve decided to take Yabble in an exciting new direction. Sustainability and eco-awareness are important ideals in our household. I think it’s vital to teach our kids about our environment and how to keep it healthy and sustainable. We live in a disposable culture with so many of our items being non recyclable and single use plastics.
I want to make items that are environmentally friendly. Pieces to be passed down from child to child, family to family.
I realize that it will take time to get this vision to fruition. I’m extremely eager for the challenge and I hope you will enjoy the journey with me!
Something I am also really passionate about is supporting local businesses. From the moms who create while their kids are asleep (🙋♀️) to the brick and mortar shops passed down for generations. Supporting our communities has never been more important than it is right now. I can’t wait to show you some of the collaborations I have lined up with some incredibly talented Canadian makers! I am always on the lookout for local talent to share ideas and designs with.
