About

Making macrame jewelry

Hi My name is Yael Dryzin and i am a macrame jewelry knitter
While i traveled in Latin america i came across the delicate technique of macrame, my plan was to find a way, Combine my day job while i am traveling around the world So i can experience new views and Culture,
I've started making jewelry, people i met on the way were looking at my work while the threads were always wrapped around my hips, they never stayed Indifferent.
it took me 4 years to come back to Israel and find a study place to create, i started study fine art in the academy and the jewelry kept on developing Simultaneously.

My little Side hobby became a true addiction that never stops surprising me with all the new and unending possibilities it has to offer.

My inspiration is from nature, the place where i really feel at home.

i want to wear jewelry that feel natural to the body almost as being naked, and i want the material to be as light as possible and as friendly to the skin as possible, that is the jewelry that i design. easy light comfortable and interlock with the body.

All of my necklaces have easy adjustable closing, by pulling the necklace you can enlarge it, and this way you can wear it exactly the way you want, either long or tight.

working with threads have opened a great possibility of color in jewelry, different combination of colors of thread and colors of stones give my work a special and unique sense.

Greetings and welcome!

Lately I learned about the history of American natives, I was amazed to find out that the first evidance of communication by writing was by means of threads by difrent colores and knots. It siems possible that this are the roots of macrame art.

In addition it's well known that macrame was long crafted by sailors, especially in elaborate or ornamental knotting forms, to decorate anything from knife handles to bottles to parts of ships.

First time i saw macrame jewelery was when I traveld to central America, I fell in love with the native authentic macrame art.
my own interpetation and personal approach evolves from my designs.

The precious stoner and crystals used in my jewelery have special qualities, In evry item I will specify the way it will influance your well being.

persolal designs with your choise of stones are more then welcome. feel free to contact me.

Please note that my shop is the labor of one person. I try very hard to keep everything running smoothly and make your purchase enjoyable. Thanks for visiting and feel free to send me a message for any reason ♥
