This set is very cool! What a great idea. I can't wait to knit them up and wear them.

About

Just a girl and her wool

It's simple really. Girl has a second baby. Because girl has *so much time on her hands* (umm, maybe?), girl's best friend says, 'hey, wanna learn how to knit?'. Of course girl says 'absolutely!'
...And the love affair with sticks and string began.
Fast forward 6 years, and the girl is knitting miles each month. Test knitting for designers, sample knitting for wool companies, knit to order for friends and family. Oh ya, and hats and clothes for the kids. Sometimes the husband too.

The girl doesn't splurge on shoes or handbags. Oh no. This girl splurges on decadent merino, cashmere and *le sigh* quivuit. Girls night out is a knitting circle. Girls weekend away is a wool festival and knitting retreat. Girl listens to audiobooks so she can keep knitting. The kids know to touch momma's knitting is to play fast and loose with ones life (...although there was that time the youngest toddler decided the WIP needed a fast unravelling and dunk in the toilet. But we're going to continue to pretend that didn't happen. He's alive still, so it wasn't the quivuit at least).

The girl had some knit-minded friends who said 'let's have a dye-birthday-party!'

The girls hands turned blue and red and yellow...and the girl fell in love.

This store is the happy result!

I'm Amanda. I'm an 80's child and reformed government worker who gets cheap thrills by colour and texture! Merino, cashmere, quivuit, silk...there is nothing better in the world. Throw in some bright colours and it's my happy place!
