One of my favorite sellers. Love the color and yarn base.
Yarn Hollow began in 2005, as the result of a kitchen sink epiphany. Rita Petteys began dyeing yarn in her garage in Grandville, MI and selling it at the Fulton Street Farmer’s Market. City Knitting was the first wholesale account, followed by several others over the years. Yarn Hollow has yarn in over 25 shops throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southern United States and Canada. In addition to a yarn presence at select yarn shops, Rita has been selling at regional fiber festivals since 2006.
In May 2010, Yarn Hollow moved from Rita’s garage/basement/dining room/computer room/playroom (home businesses have a way of taking over!) into an 1100 square foot facility at 3041 Broadway SW in Grandville, MI.
To nourish the inherent creativity in all by producing high quality yarns, fiber, and fabrics vibrating with color and steeped with a sense of fun and adventure.
Through the creation and distribution of our unique and colorful products, we will grow an enthusiastic customer base throughout North America and the world! We desire an extensive retail network who will support by consistently and professionally providing the highest quality materials suffused with color that will excite their customers!
We deeply feel that the creative spark is accessible to all. We believe that making things matters. We value the partnerships and networks of the business cycle, from farmers and mills at the genesis of materials production through the shops and sellers to those who use our end product to create unique and beautiful objects. Our customers are very important to us – without them, we would not have the privilege of doing this work; we are thoroughly dedicated to our customers’ satisfaction. We value the work of our hands and the opportunity to grow creatively. It is important that our families benefit from our work and we value our work in such a way that will result in prosperity.

For international transactions, I only accept paypal. There are no exceptions to this policy.
In the interest of simplifying which fibers and yarns are going where and are sold through which website, I will not do transactions for people who contact me off-etsy about items listed here.
If you have committed to purchasing items from the Yarn Hollow shop and I have not received payment within 2 days via paypal for items you have committed to purchase, those items will be relisted. If you have committed to purchase an item via Check or Money Order, payment must arrive within five (5) business days of the purchase. In instances in which payments are not received on time, the transaction will be cancelled and the items relisted.
If you have asked to have items reserved, those items will be reserved for up to seven (7) days. If payment has not been received within that time frame, the items will be re-listed without being reserved. This insures that inventory will make it to its forever home quickly and is available to all who are looking.
That being said, please know that though I endeavor to get to the post office for more accurate quotes, getting there is dependent on the studio schedule and my children's school schedule. If you are concerned about the cost of shipping, please contact me so we can work out something while making sure the items you would like aren't sold while you are waiting for a precise quote. Thank you.
Refunds and Exchanges
We endeavor to package and ship all the items you have purchased in a way that keeps them safe in shipping. If an item is lost in shipping, we may ask that you contact your post office to inquire about the delivery status. Refunds for items lost in shipping will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
